Joins the list with Ronnie Edwards, Charlie Taylor, Maxwell Cornet, Ross Stewart, Juan Larios, Mislav Orsic and a fair few others I’m being VERY generous in leaving off this list of players who were bought/loaned and a complete waste of time, effort and money.
You may be being generous leaving a few off there, but you're being overly harsh including Edwards and Charles - they'll be key players for us next season (I realise that's not the point, but they're not a waste of time, effort and money).
Unfortunately that changes nothing for me. Shea had game time and was shipped off because he was way way below where we needed him. Honestly he also want very good last season and that’s not really an excuse for Edwards as he was signed for the premier league, not the championship.
Charles played over 30 games for us last season. Completely incomparable to the rest of that list. People's judgement on him has really been clouded by one bad 45 minutes at Bristol City where we got worse when he went off and was by no means the worst player anyway.
Genuinely didn’t realise he played that much, have removed him from the list. That felt like a proper Mandela effect that as if you said he played 5-10 games I’d have believed it.
Didn’t watch. Only just checked the score. Not surprised. Wtf was that defence? Season is done for me.
Didn't watch or listen to the game and haven't read through the thread yet (will do that this evening). Only checked the score line this morning. Is it bad that I was relieved that we 'only' lost 4-0?
People don't blame him now, but at the time they sure did. The benefit of hindsight has changed things but for me it was pretty clear get was an exceptional manager throughout. For what it's worth, he did need to go at the end. But I think he would have kept us up had we spent the £120m+ that season on 3 or 4 top players in the summer rather than buying the likes of Edozie, Bazunu, Lavia*, Larios then panic buying in January. That was the opportunity to turn things around and SR blew it big time. *yes he worked out, but the strategy of investing in youth was wrong. We needed players ready to help.

Juric was asked about Groenback after the game - actually seems a fair enough response. Albert Gronbaek unused again, who decided to sign him - did you want him? IJ: He was an opportunity because he came on the loan and we can see him like how he is he good, how is he not good. He plays on the Mateus Fernandes position and in this moment I prefer Mateus. It's not that Albert is not a good player. It's just that I prefer other players in this moment. It's the only position when he plays good for me. That's it.
Look at the slow jog back. Not one of them busting a gut to get a tackle in. Can't wait to see the back of the lot of them
Totally demoralised. Can't pick out individuals to blame it's an across the club failure even the tea is horrible and the buns are stale.
