Feel he's made an error going for Josephs enthusiasm and work rate over Pedro's technique and ability tonight, I'd switch them at HT and prob give someone else a go instead of Lincoln too, think gelhardt better on the right and he's having a bit of a meh tonight

Joseph needs a goal. Took a slightly frustrated shot that wasn't really on towards the end. We're hardly creating anything for him like.

Gelhardt on the right and Pedro on for Crooks, in my opinion. Pedro’s technical but doesn’t have the pace or mobility. Pedro as a false 9 next to Joseph might work as Joseph is making clever runs and is good at holding the ball up.

A pretty uneventful half, worrying looking injury to Matazo, just need to up the pace a bit 2nd half.

A bottom of the league encounter that neither can afford to lose was never going to be pretty . As the away side I think we can be the happier of the 2 teams at the moment , not looked overly troubled and still got some quality to bring on 2nd half to try and Nick it , I’d like to see Amrabat and Pedro for Lincoln and Joseph

Joseph really putting himself about and thankfully Pandur making some good saves when needed. Macca and Gelhardt looks like it's turning into a decent partnership down the left. Lincoln looking good too, just need Slater and Puerta to gamble a bit more when the time is right.

Crooks not been in it really. Jones not having the best game tonight and for all the ground Coyle's covered he's yet to pass the ball forwards a single time.

Matazo going off looks like it might have rocked us a little. Seems like whenever adversity strikes this side, heads drop and we suffer the consequences. Hopefully reset for the second half and go out with a view to coming home with three points.

frustrating first half - we are struggling with Cardiff's press and all back four are being forced into mistakes or passing backwards - we need to move it forward quicker as a team and stop holding the ball allowing Cardiff to get back - Puerta is having a good game so are Gelhardt and Lincoln - think I'd bring Alzate on for Slater and Pedro for Joseph - have to say jury's still out about Joseph - hope it works out

Slater playing doesn’t bother me. It’s the prospect of yet another incredibly long layoff for a player that has just joined and started to look bright. We’ll be lucky to see Matazo play before Christmas, I fear. I’m just gutted for him and the club.

Surely we also have to look at training and recovery within the club. While acl’s are generally caused by awkward twists, it seems beyond coincidence if we end up with 2,3 or 4 acl’s within a season.
