I think they’ll drop enough points above us for us to go up, but I think we’ll drop too many for it to happen. We can beat anyone except Leeds, we’ve shown it but we can’t turn up consistently enough.
Mate you are a huge supporter of the club. Home and away every game. When you want to leave a game, it's your choice.
Starting to believe the average age on this forum is about 65 and they’re just happy to still be watching a Sunderland team, all is perfect
He goes to every game , home and away. Just leaves when he choses too. Of course he is a true supporter. On here all the time. Basically safc in his head every day man. If he wants to leave for a beer, meet a mate, have a piss, that's his choice.
Cheers mate, I’ll be easing off a bit here I think (to the delight of many), probably stick to the predictions and that’s about it.
Poor support then. We all need to get behind the lads in the run in. We are all in this together. There are no excuses for leaving early.
Very slim mate don’t think it happens but I think those above us will drop points. We need to put a run together
Whatever happens we know our players aren't a bunch of quitters and won't give up on promotion. If that only means we make the PO's, but with momentum, so be it, but while there's a chance of the top two I'll keep believing ... why not, it's never fatal and costs nowt. We had no chance of promotion, under Keane, but ended up Champions on the very last day of the season. Some people, in that season, were laughing at anyone who believed. QPR have beaten Norwich, Blackburn, Watford, at home and have Burnley and Sheff Utd to visit ... ... as we've found they raise their game for big games and they're capable of beating either team. Draws would be good enough and, of course, Utd and Burnley have to play each other which means one or both are dropping points. We've all seen Sunderland raise themselves when it seemed unlikely ... no reason we can't do the same this season.
Nah....coming to the business end of the season....your input is always valued.....even if you are a miserable sod!
Ha’way man, you deliberately wind people up, which is fair enough, so you have to expect some reaction … … some of the stuff you post is ridiculous and you know it
I think we’ve blown it with our 3 of our last 4 home games, Sheff Utd lost 3-0 to hull the night before Plymouth and we just did nothing. Watford as well, laboured to a draw (should’ve won it with last kick of the game) and less said about Hull the better. We’ve just ran out of steam at a crucial point, we had a great start to the year but it’s all gone a bit tits up since the penalty fiasco at Burnley.
I left on Saturday at 90 mins, why? Because based on the previous 85 mins in which we didn’t lay a glove on Hull, I had no belief we’d score I stayed until the end of the 1-5 against Stoke in 2023, no idea why but it earned me nothing in the grand scheme, I got no pats on the back of thanks on my way out, I just wasted my time. I believe you should go when you want, I have no issue with people going when we’re losing and are playing shocking. I think we’ll get to about 80 points but we just don’t have enough left to get near the top 2.
We've had a brilliant season. Playoffs were always going to be an excellent result. Could have been more but doesn't take away the excellent impact RLB has had, and the brilliant position that KLD and Speakman have helped to put us in. 3 games in May will define the season. We've got as much chance as any of them. I think whoever comes third out of Leeds, Burnley and Sheff Utd will be on such a downer that they bottle their semi. In a way, us being let down but relatively sure of our playoff place early gives us an advantage over them as we're mentally ready for those 3 big games.
This. And I'll bang my drum again... ... we need the fans to get behind the team. There are no excuses for leaving early. Team need our support for 90 minutes, and applauding off the park. We are all in this together. There are no excuses.
