Sorry Sarge, but Ferrari deserve bad karma for kicking Carlos out - hopefully they struggle until he wins the championship in a Williams!
Now now, I think there will be surprises. New engine regs. Thank god the token system, that hurt Honda, has been abandoned. I am going to remain optimistic we will have an exciting competition with no one team dominating.
I’m all up for competition, everyone within a tenth, drivers able to make a difference and Ferrari suffering 1s behind everyone else, ruing the day they dumped Sainz would be perfect?!
If bad karma hit a team every time they let a driver go, we'd have very few finishers every weekend. Anyway. It's hardly like they have had much good Karma of late. They're in the typical Ferrari state of calamity. All I want is for Hamilton to get a few wins in red and I'll be happy.
https://www.skysports.com/f1/news/1...ackside-officer-in-organisational-restructure Andy Cowell Team Principle. Newey Chief Design. A serious lineup - will be amazed if they aren’t podium and winning races regularly in 2027. 2026 maybe, but Newey has already admitted he’s gonna be a few months behind the curve and needs to organise the talent around the team.
So, Mike Krack, who has been effectively demoted into a new role focused on performance at the race track is effectively told he`s failed to bring about or accomplish any success. As for Andy Cowell being the new team principal he also continues to be the CEO, incoming excessive work load.!!
Nice shot of the Aston- there are some much sleeker cars this year- you can tell we’ve matured into the regs as they come to an end.
Is this Aston now a 100% designed Adrian Newey car? or is that a silly question as I was never too well understanding when he would be actually starting.
What's the betting his is well up to speed on the 2025 Aston design, maybe Lawrence Stroll accidentally emailed the full design to Adrian's wife by accident . I would bet he has been looking at the current design and seeing if there are any quick wins he can make in the first couple of months. After that I am sure he will be 100% on the 2026 design as that's a big rule change and Aston want a leap forward.
In order to enforce the RRA and Budget Cap the controls on the intellectual property are so tight that I think this would be really hard to do, as described. However I think it’s pretty naïve to think that conversations haven’t happened about the general concept, problems they’ve had in the past, avenues they’re considering investigating, how to package so as to leave room for aero updates etc. I’m sure the same happens with all the teams that have a “technologies” arm that is staffed with people who work only part time or no longer work on F1. The effect will be muted, but still not inconsequential.
