One of my favourite live bands, saw them many times in the NE at the Cellar and the Bay, truly amazing on stage, dont think Chapmans voice took to recordings, and when heard live the musicians in the band took over and what a talented lot they were everything the did ended up in improvisation.
An old mate of mine JI was their roadie and lived with the band in Leicester.
Another 60,s band that formed at Art School , art and music really are inseparable and both are so underrated by short term politicians.

January 27th 1983 - Final song of a second encore

I was fortunate to see Pat Benatar on her only UK Tour - still up there with one of my favourites and how I would love for her to do the UK again

Not everyone’s cup of tea and not my favourite band by any stretch but out of every band I’ve seen play live and I’ve seen a fair few, these blow them all off the stage.
ALRIGHT NOT 606 YOU WANTED THE BEST YOU GOT THE BEST. THE HOTTEST BAND IN THE WORLD…..

I have mentioned before that I am a keen listener to Desert Island Disks and this weeks castaway is Cindy Lauper who is well worth a listen, Louis Armstrong, Maria Callas, The Beatles, Billie Holiday, Blondie and Big Mamma Thornton chip in , but her insights almost dwarf this line up.

I had forgotten all about this particular classic, but once, it resided in my record collection and it brought home memories of early post war Britain,.and my Uncle Sams rather stormy marriage. <laugh>
