No we are not. I, along with many others think it's really poor practice to sign injured players.

That's all, hope this is ok for you to manage.

18 and 20 year old who’ve never kicked a ball at championship level

We needed another forward option in January.

Similar pedigree to Isidor and Mayenda to be fair and they are not too bad , neither are those two. Tommy Watson is another , its our pattern and its a good one imo.

Not saying we don’t, but there’s nothing we can do now. Really though two would have came in after Rusyn and connoly left

I’m pretty chilled to be honest. Enjoying the steady growth of our great club. I come on here more after a win than a loss. To enjoy good craic

Got to agree with Bob here.
Everyone has a right to express their views on here so long as it’s done honestly and respectfully, which seems to be the way it’s always been done on here.

Personally, I’d agree with Prehab in that we’ve taken a gamble on Danns signing despite us flagging his injury.

We don’t need to make that signing but it sounds like we’ve done it in the absence of a viable late alternative and he has already missed a months worth of fixtures. All we can do at this stage is hope he comes back before the end of the season and can have a positive impact in the time he’s here.

To query the merit of signing him is a legitimate challenge to make particularly in the absence of another striker other than Isidor.

It’s also fair to say we also have some good lads on the bench and coming back from injury, who we can now give games to in the absence of Le Fee and Ballard.

There is nothing wrong with questioning the business we have done, or team selection or use of subs or tactics. Most of the posters on here go to games and can see what is happening with their own eyes.

it’s also a fact that we have done better this season than last and that we are also only a few points behind Mowbray’s points total of two years ago with a dozen games left, which is an achievement in itself.

People have differing takes on things, each to their own. Be a dull old world if we all agreed atll of the time.

Going to take a spell away from here so wishing everyone well for the rest of the season.

I think we've done right by the lad and I'm sure Liverpool will be grateful for our diligence and honesty. If he's fit, he could end up back here on loan in the summer. Liverpool are reportedly after a Centre Forward, so his game time is likely to be very limited.

Look, I don't think the club are losing out financially to this Danns deal, the delay was probably due to renegotiation of the original agreement wherein we don't have to pay until hes ready to play. This is what I was told and I believe it given I was told about 8pm deadline day that he was injured.

My issue isn't that weve signed him, because really, we didn't have much time to make another attempt given we were all in regarding Danns until late on the day.

My issue is we do have a thing for signing injured players this season. Abdullahi is fair enough, hes our player at least. But the Samed one sticks in my mind. He seems like he may not be ready till the very end, if at all. Which will be no good to us because hes not signing permanent even if we do go up (In my opinion).

The need for Danns is arguably less pronounced since Abdullahi got fit and firing. With Ogunsuyi also there on the periphery.

On the striker front what I will say is the club need to get focal point or use Mayenda. Isidor's back to goal play is what ensures we struggle to break sides down, that and he doesn't have much of an aerial threat. I dunno if Danns offers this?

We’ve got good credit for doing the right thing by teams, players and coaches. Being respectful is the long game. Also not overpaying is the long game. Last year we wasted money on some players who weren’t sufficient quality. This year we’re trying to raise the quality within the bounds of value and affordability. We’re using our brains. Sheffield spent a fortune and lost by more than we did. It’s a leap already for us being in 4th. We’re on an upward spiral with bumps. Let’s enjoy our improvement and accept imperfection.

Are we paying his wages? How was his loan structured? Are there caveats inserted because of the injury? What percentage of his wage are we paying? Non of this is known so all the talk is merely speculation.
I did hear of a buy clause which if true may be the reason the club agreed to the deal(take the hit now for a very good future deal) but again this is speculation.

you’re bang on for me like

whilst they’ve done a great deal of good and are rightly praised they should be criticised when they do poorly.

the le fee situation is unfortunate but we wanted a forward and a winger hence danns and the solid link to Edward’s.

in the end we’ll get neither and they knew the risks of the former when they agreed the deal.

if I was being pedantic I’d say we’re also heading into the run in with 2 full backs, a lot of us said we needed depth there.

playoffs most likely now and at the end of the day it’s all about those potentially 3 one of games.
