Couple more branded things. Nature Valley oat bars. Can't stand the normal ones. Quakers for porridge.
I agree with this to a point but how could the board do that when they aren't football people. I'm pretty sure it's up to the manager to coach his way of playing not to come in and play the way the players want or need to. It's not SR that decide the tactics, and honestly, Juric's tactics are clearly not working. I know I've said this before but when he came in he promised us heavy-metal football and this has simply not happened. I'm not saying he is the whole problem and SR are not perfect but, to me Juric is looking more like a fish out of water with every passing week. I just don't think one can say "well what do you expect when SR are so ****" He is the manager and as such he is not, IMHO, blameless in all this.
The discussion about which loo roll to buy really emphasises the fact that Saints fans are experts at looking at ****.
That reminds me. I was looking for Tracker bars I used to love. Was telling my eldest we’d get some, but couldn’t see them anywhere. Did they get discontinued?
We need to win some games and salvage some pride. I don’t care how that’s done, we don’t need to play to any particular ideology. The 5 at the back is not working. No midfield is not working. Play a team that doesn’t concede a **** ton of goals.
Tescos for the delivery, least unreliable. Due to long hours and family me and Mrs locum have 2 meals from cook in the week, I really rate them and reduces takeaway consumption.
Sutton's prediction: 2 - 0 Saints will give Chelsea the chance to find their rhythm again and I don't see them keeping them out. I must say every week how dismal this season has been for Southampton fans, and probably the only thing they have to look forward to at the moment is the prospect of a day out in Norwich next season when they are back in the Championship. Paige Cavell, who is a Chelsea fan's prediction: 3 - 0. I have been bold here, I had to be! We have been struggling a bit recently but, because Southampton are bottom of the table, I am backing us to get a few goals and get a good result. Cole Palmer is going to get one or two goals in this one, I am backing him, and I will be at this game so I will be shouting loudly for him, especially if it is 2 - 0 and we need another goal for my prediction.

No they don’t pick the tactics but there was a time this season where we sacked Martin and the board was required to pick the next manager. We were rock bottom and we had players who were used to playing in a very very particular way. They would have interviewed a few managers and probably spoke to even more. It was widely reported we also wanted Juric before and has been on a shortlist for a little while. The point is they picked him for this situation. I know it’s very hard to imagine SR being competent but I would at the very least hope, before manager hunting, they analysed the season as a whole so far, including the players in the squad, their skills, their morale, the performances and the style of play they’ve been playing. And in that assessment they concluded Juric had the ability and style to have an immediate impact and be able to get results. Juric did not come to us pleading for the job, he was an out of work manager and had an opportunity to manage in the PL and become a hero for turning around such a situation. It was very likely he’d say yes and have the belief to do it. And I find it almost impossible to believe that he wouldn’t have been very clear about how he’d play. The stories about terrible fitness would also have only been something he found out on the job and that’s a huge issue to work with if your style requires intensity. Then you have the issue of SR not even backing the ****ing guy and seemingly the only player they did get is not appearing in the team so Juric clearly didn’t want him. I do not believe for one second that Juric wouldn’t have discussed incomings in January and wouldn’t have wanted players, no way he said “sure I’ll just play my style with the players you have”. The cu**y cowards with their immense demonstration of leadership threw in the towel by December and the players downed tools. He’s a scapegoat and I actually feel sorry for the guy cause I feel like he’s been hung out to dry. But it was SR who looked at the situation and the interview and assessed he was the right fit. And they’ve been almost hilariously wrong about that in so many ways. So yeah Juric has been crap and he’s made many bad choices and he picks the team but he was quite blatantly the wrong fit in every way for a situation that required immediate change and results. And only our board could desperately need upgrades in a transfer window and only end up loaning 1 player who isn’t wanted and loan out one of the rare forwards who has scored.
