Peter Kyle MP, Starmer’s Science Minister, has awarded a £2.3 million government contract to Faculty AI—the same company that paid him £36,000 in May 2024 for “technical expertise and policy research.”

His qualifications? A degree in Geography and Environmental Studies from Sussex University.

Kyle personally oversees the department that awarded the contract.

And what is this £2.3 million contract for? “Analysing social media narratives.” It's linked to the Counter Disinformation Unit, the same shadowy operation that blacklisted dissenters during Covid and sought to censor them.

So a minister gets paid tens of thousands by a company—then later signs off on a multi-million-pound contract for them.

Smelly is an understatement.
