Annoying that we pulled off an incredible signing in Le Fee and never got round to starting him in his correct position. Legging it up and down the wing can't have helped much either.
I’d quite like to see the Serb alternate with rigg now we have some left wing options again, definite player there who’s been underutilised this season
We did receive strong criticism in fact when talking about the potential time frame and I spoke about my frustration with the transfer I got a lot of criticism for it and told I was wrong numerous times
Hopefully they will learn from this season and stop taking those gambles. Samed, Poveda, Abdullahi and now Danns. At least 2 of them were loans and one was a free
I really can't be bothered to go looking but, from memory, you really didn't. If people simply questioning what people post, or disagreeing with an opinion, is 'strong criticism' the world's gone mad. Claiming 'I got pelters' is thrown about, on forums, like people have been asking for lifetime bans.
Have too. It's set us back and stopped us building momentum from the window. The fact they had 5 months to find quality up top and only sign an injured player on loan is not good enough.
The poveda one was a punt, a long contract giving him the chance to get fit, he still has that chance now. Samed re occurred which I’ll give them credit for they couldn’t have known would happen. abdullahi doesn’t matter he was a future signing and they’ve decided to fix a problem now when he isn’t needed which is why we needed a striker in January, which means the danns one makes 0 sense
Danns is exceptional because even his own club didn't know there was a problem ... ... another club's medical team might not have even spotted it and played the lad. We'll always take chances on players with previous past form, inexperience or minor injuries. There's no way we could afford the likes of Jobe, Mundle or Isidor otherwise.
True enough, but after the 3 previous instances I would suggest they should have pulled the plug on the Danns deal. Of course that opens them up to criticism either way...
No offence mate, it's just becoming a 'fact' that the club are wearing players out, causing them injuries in training or signing the infirm. Clubs like Liverpool, Chelsea, Man Utd, etc, are happy to send their young lads on loan ... ... if they suspected Jobe, Rigg, etc were being flogged to death that just wouldn't happen.
They spotted a stress fracture in his back. Something that kept him out of action from pre season to November, which clearly hadn’t healed properly. So a reoccurrence risk with a period of rest for a player that hasn’t played consistently in that massive time period showed a massive risk for us and the potential for a long while out, which I said at the time
We attract young ambitious players because we've reversed the image of the club from being a laughable basket case to a respected outfit ... ... whether that's signings or loans we have to be seen as honourable and decent.
Mistakes will happen with recruitment, especially with how tight our budget is. We are not exactly splashing cash about and KLD is still funding losses in the millions.
