Good Morning. It's Monday 24th February, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road

Spurs set £10m - £15m price tag for Solomon

Leeds are bracing themselves for a summer transfer tussle with Everton, as both clubs set their sights on Spurs winger, Manor Solomon. The Israeli international has become a key figure in Leeds Championship promotion push, injecting dynamism and game-changing quality into their attacking play.

The Whites are currently averaging an impressive 2.18 points per game and are firmly on course to surpass the coveted 100-point mark – a feat that would underline their promotion credentials. Solomon's contributions, characterised by pace, trickery and an eye for goal, have undoubtedly been instrumental in this surge.

Despite being contracted to Tottenham until 2028, reports suggest that securing Solomon's signature this summer could be surprisingly affordable, with a fee in the region of £10 million to £15 million being touted. This relatively modest price tag for a player of his potential and current form is likely to further fuel the interest from clubs beyond Leeds and Everton.

Solomon's time at Tottenham has been somewhat fragmented. After initially featuring in five of Spurs' opening seven Premier League fixtures in the 2023/24 season, a series of persistent knee injuries derailed his progress and limited his opportunities at the North London club. Those early appearances proved to be his only league outings for Tottenham before his loan move to Leeds.

    Would you take a draw

The Championship title race has tightened dramatically after Burnley’s emphatic 4-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday at the weekend. Scott Parker's Clarets are breathing down Leeds United’s neck, now just four points adrift at the summit. This result has significantly amplified the pressure on Daniel Farke's side as they prepare for a crucial Yorkshire derby tonight at Bramall Lane!

Sheffield United will be eager to avenge their 2-0 defeat at Elland Road back in October. Crucially, Chris Wilder has bolstered his squad considerably since then, injecting fresh talent with five new faces joining during the winter transfer window. This revitalized Blades team presents a far sterner test than Leeds encountered earlier in the season.

Leeds, on the other hand, arrive at Bramall Lane boasting an impressive fifteen-match unbeaten run. However, their hold on the top spot is precarious. They lead the Championship table on goal difference, if it hadn't been for the two-point deduction Sheffield United still carry from last season due to financial irregularities.

Every point is precious, and any slip-up at this stage of the season could be costly. So, considering Farke being banned from the dugout, Solomon doubtful to feature, and a strengthened Sheffield United side at home, the hypothetical question arises: if you were offered a draw before kick-off tonight, would you take it?

Soloman would be a no brainer at that money. He mightn't be good enough to start in pl but would be great. to have on bench as an impact sub. As for tonight, predicting two nil win to maintain lead

He’s our best attacking player. So if he’s not good enough to start in the PL then none of them are <yikes>

    I'm going for a tight fought 1-1.

Hopefully Solomon has enjoyed his time here, like he's stated, and that would give us the edge over others for his signature.
