West Ham are interested in Southampton's23-year-old England centre-back Taylor Harwood-Bellis. (Sun - subscription required)
Be interesting to see what THB does. Obviously it depends on if we get an offer high enough too, but wonder if he'll be pushing to leave or not. He was very buddy buddy with RM too. He's not exactly taken to the PL like a duck to water, but is young and has potential. Whether that's enough to persuade a club to part ways with what would probably need to be at least £25m remains to be seen. Imagine there will be a lot of rumours, but most will just be the vultures circling thinking they can get a player on the cheap because we're relegated.
I thought there would be interest but I also don't think we sell him at a loss. Would any team want to pay £30m+ for him? I'm not sure.
I doubt we are even willing to sell him to just break even either given he is on a long contract having only just signed in the summer. And we have a sell on clause to Man City which just means the price rises further. Just don't see anyone offering enough. He hasn't been good enough. So I hope he knuckles down and doesn't do a Flynn.
The rats are looking to desert as soon as that final whistle blows at the end of the season. And good riddance to most of them, as I think this piece below, describes our club very well.

We paid £20m so would think we would demand at least £30m for an England international. As long as we got that, I wouldn't really care.
I wouldn't pay too much attention to that. The new agency he's signed with is very cosy with Palace and West Ham, so this was always going to come out. What is 'alerted to the possibility' anyway? That just means the agent has said 'we've signed Taylor Harwood-Bellis as a client' down the phone or on WhatsApp to someone at those clubs. I'm not sure he is going to have all that much interest this summer, certainly not at the price point we'd hope for
