I feel sorry for none of them. I hope this season stains their careers for ever (it won't, they'll get their transfer and go back to their million pound mansions and not give a ****) In a fair world, this complete capitulation should ensure no manager ever signs them. The ****s.

I don’t think they have thrown the towel in.
I just think that they don’t understand the roles they are being asked to perform.
Whereas the early season results were down to too many mistakes as a result of playing RM’s style of football, I think the latter results are down to Juric because he is also asking the players to play a system that they aren’t suited to.
What I think some fans are interpreting as the players downing tools is the players being frustrated at not being able to play in a way they have been accustomed to throughout their playing careers.
As I have said before, Juric and RM are ideologists who are convinced that their style of play is the only way to play, yet the majority of the squad are players who have been used to playing in a variety of styles that are less rigid.

Sorry but a fair few have definitely downed tools and done so for weeks. As soon as a goal goes in that's it.

Not being familiar with the style doesn't excuse a lack of running and effort.

You can see it in the body language when in the ground.

In fairness to them, They don't on the first goal. Normally after the second goal (that is always inevitable as we can't defend for toffees)

Another thing I noticed yesterday (and a few times previously) is how little the players stick up for each other. Dibling took a few hard challenges and everybody just ignored it.

In a proper team the experienced players would be sticking up for the young academy lad by either putting it on the opposition or badgering the ref.

    Spineless and couldn't give a ****.

Not sure I find it's as soon as something goes against us whether it's a goal or a decision. The Newcastle penalty and Bournemouth's first goals being recent examples.

I think next season is not going to be as good as a lot of fans think. This team has a malaise running through it. Pally pals with RM and still upset about his sacking, used to getting hammered and not really caring that much. This doesn't just go when you beat Preston North End 2-1 in one game, but it does get worse if they beat you 2-0 in the first game.

We genuinely need a clear out. Ramsdale's interview rattling on about Martin recently really peed me off. He's gone, it's history. The fans are worried about now, not Martin on his millionaire's holiday for giving goals to the opposition every week.

We have a few players who are up to playing in the Championship, but for whom the PL is a step too far. I wouldn't mind hanging on to Armstrong and Smallbone for that reason. The rest can **** off, with the exception of Ramsdale and Dibling, who almost certainly will **** off of their own accord anyway.

I’m really scared that they’ll recall bazunu for next season and pretend he’s the worlds best goalkeeper again while he flaps about conceding every shot on target

Report on his performance from yesterday:
"Ireland keeper Gavin Bazunu has been hailed as the match-winning hero by his club Standard Liege after he enjoyed the first win of his loan spell in Belgium.

The Dubliner had been under scrutiny after two defeats in his first two games, where he conceded six goals. But he put on a stunning display on Sunday as Standard won 2-1 away to Club Brugge.

"He made two big saves at the end. He's the one who won the game for us. It's important because he's been unlucky since he came on. I'm happy for him. He showed his qualities today. It's going to give him confidence,” manager Ivan Leko said.
    "

Maybe all the coaches at City, Saints and the Ireland set up might be on to something after all. I know it is just one game, but he is young for a keeper and I don't think we should completely write him off just yet.

I admire your passion, however I completely disagree with this. If you are in a company going bankrupt even if you are working your hardest there is a limit to what you can do. Regardless of wealth people lose confidence when things continually go badly. Some of it is on the players but of they are not good enough the recruitment id the issue.

I don't know what we do with him tbh, assuming this latest injury isn't long term. There's no way I want him back as our no.1 next season, I'm desperately hoping we sign a new first choice GK to replace Ramsdale in the summer. But then if we still have hope of Baz being our no.1 GK one day, then he probably needs a season out on loan and to play regularly at a decent level rather than just sitting on our bench. Otherwise fine with him being our backup.

Yeah I kind of feel the same. I don't think we should give up on him, but it would be a big risk to go into next season with him as no.1. hopefully he does well at Standard Leige and we can maybe loan him out for a decent fee.

I fail to understand that it should be so hard to get a better No. 1 than Bazunu.

This shouldn’t even really be a long debate. If we try ink he has potential let him stay on loan until he is ready. Bit like Chelsea with Cortious.

Just one of the many many many many examples of terrible recruitment.

We honestly have a board who runs this club like a FIFA career mode. Buy cheap high potential players in every position regardless of having no experience or leaders. Super young goalkeeper with little first team experience and expect him to play the whole of the championship season? Sure.

Don’t buy any decent leader defenders who have experience in the PL and instead rely on the two main defenders as captains even though they both took part in two 9-0 losses? And then any CB we buy is very very young with no experience above league 1? Sure.

Need a striker but you only have championship level strikers who have proven time and time again they can’t do the PL? Sure buy a striker who is 22 and also has no prem experience but might be good in a few years.

    It is a joke.

The club giving up in December is possibly one of the worst moments as a fan for me in the clubs history. It’s like a boxer deciding he’s lost after round 4 or a Wimbledon player deciding they may as well give up after losing the first set.

You literally have an entire half a season to turn things around. They had the chance to get a new manager and back him with a transfer window and over 57 points to play for. But no let’s just give up.

That’s the football club I paid £500 to watch and supported for over 30 years. One that just gives up while they’re still way way way in the fight. It’s utterly tragic. Why wouldn’t the players give up when the ****ing club did?

What do you expect a club of very young, low quality, low PL experience to do?! There is no leader on the pitch or off the pitch.

Why people expect one man to make a huge difference in the Summer I don’t know.

We are the Fredo Corleone of the football world, just ****ing pathetic while trying to act like we’re one of the big boys.

    ****ing brilliant post <applause>

I get the excuses the Pro-SR fans cling on to. I also understand those completely beaten into apathy. I get we haven't a time machine, I understand we have no say over player signings or managerial appointments.

Every single fan though should be ****ing raging that the club gave up in December. It's ****ing unforgivable that they just sat down and pretty much agreed to **** off the rest of the season. How dare they continue to charge PL prices when they want to be a Championship club.

It's taking the piss out of us big time.
