There is a point where repeating the same criticism constantly just adds to the very thing he's railing about in the first place. It's not that I don't think there's some foundation to what he's saying, just find it ironic.
Talksport commentators said exactly the same thing, then they got a replay about 5 minutes later and agreed it was just offside and the correct call.
How does criticising something add to the problem? If you say something is poor does criticising it make it worse? The bigger problem is accepting poor things.
So when you're always criticising the city and fans for constantly talking themselves down, what then are you ending up doing other than constantly talking the club and city down? Fact is, we know your opinion, some of us might be more sympathetic if it wasn't repeated at every possible chance you get.
I don’t criticise the fans for talking themselves down, I criticise them for not making enough noise and being derogatory about those who do. I criticise the city because I would like to see it improve. Though most of the criticisms you can level at Hull you can level at most cities in the country.
It’s rude to criticise people. You might upset them. One of my favourite sayings “it’s nice to be nice”
I had feeling Hughes substitute was planned and great game play still using the same stoppage as other subs so not wasting and could still have another sub later in the game but the time taken for those 3 subs was far greater than the time added on for them.
I think it just has to be on target. I think they are saying it was going across the goal and not on target. But I dont really know
It was alluded to in the post-match media that the initial assessment didn't look as bad as first feared, but scans will confirm over the next few days.
Hughes asked to come off, “ I’m ****ed gaffer “ he said. It was indeed planned for 60-65 mins so will hopefully be fine for the taffs…..
In that case I recommend you don't read the 'Our Home Crowd' thread on Sunderland's board. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
I know their criticisms of home atmosphere and leaving early. I'm talking about the difference in defeatist mentality, which I said was more pronounced here, not that it was completely absent elsewhere. You're gonna get miserable twats everywhere, just we seem to have a greater percentage of them. And even your pal Castro agrees city fans are notoriously fickle. You can see it in fluctuations in attendances over the years. Our support is far more conditional than theirs.
I'll take more notice of their support when they've endured the like of the Sheffield stealers, Wilby, Lloyd, landscape gardener Needler, winding up petitions, great escape, ground lock outs, and die when you want prats. All that said, I remain convinced that when it comes to negativity we're no worse, or better, than any other club. That is all. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
From the Sunderland not 606, a lad called “ fell top.” Apart from being pissed off about the non penalty award, pretty fair comments. FellTop.. Poor day at the office. Credit to Hull, very well coached side. Thought some of their tactical choices outdid our tactical choices. Gelhardt was a thorn all day and exposed the left hand side first half. Crooks did a great job of coming into our deep midfield areas and closing passing options. Coyle pushed Le Fee out of the game. That Matazo in midfield was all energy and I was hoping for more of that from ours to match him. Jobe and Rigg didnt set the baseline against them first half. I may get grief here, but it is a long standing concern for me. We dont have anyone to hold the ball up and play off in games. It is a gap in our options. Today Wilson was beaten to the first ball too easily by their centre backs. It isnt about effort, it is about putting the body between the defender and the ball and he seems unable to get that right. When he takes his chances he makes up for that part of his game. Today he and Mayenda both missed the target when it should have been a goal. Roberts was poor, until last 10 mins when he suddenly put more balls in, and threaded a couple through. Not sure what it says about Poveda mind if he isnt hooked at 55 or 60 mins. I suspect RLB doesnt trust Poveda or Aleksic, or they get at least 15 mins you would think today. I have no douby Patto will be blamed for losing us a point today. I dont like that angle. You could argue Isidor and Mayenda cost us 3 by missing 2 great chances. Players make mistakes. The team couldnt dig Patto out of a hole today, shame. But lets not hammer the lad, he is our number 1 to the end of this season at least, needs our support. Wilson got it when he missed 2 pennos, lets give Patto it too.
Even your pal Castro agrees City fans are notoriously fickle…I was saying that long before I knew TwoWrights. I was saying that long before I ever posted on not606. It is other people arguing the opposite.
Stoke fans getting wound up by this, just checked when & it was the FA Cup game! https://x.com/thesportsman/status/1893310458544730183?s=46&t=mbGC1Uc_tqsItFVqKTDi-w
