He’s only had one predecessor which was Wilcox.

Look, I get the pessimism, but the appointment makes sense. He has a very good track record, yet we’ve decided he’s pointless/useless and that we’re doomed? That’s madness.

Of course I understand it. I just don’t necessarily prescribe to it before the guy has even had a chance to start making any impact.

I don’t feel like that’s where it is coming from, it just feels like the goalposts have shifted. It’s gone from “okay I trust you’ve made the right choices with the board and I’ll get behind you now” to “nah I know need to see some changes immediately and positively and you can work to gain my trust back”.

I don’t want them to fail obviously but we are way past the point with these owners of simply trusting their decisions and changes. Changes need to be made and they we need to start seeing progress then I’ll think about not calling them ****.

Buy some ****ing leaders and get a defence that doesn’t rely on one painfully immensely average and provenly **** defender then that would be a start.

But if we get to Summer and there is zero transfer movement AGAIN u til way too late, then yeah **** them and they get no good faith.

9 out 75 wins in Premiership for Saints.

Time for Sports Republic to go. Useless at manager appointments and player signers. Why should we expect the appointment of a new sports director be any better ?

Time for a complete clear out and Dragan to pack his bags. We have seen enough. They will never be able to put our club on a proper footing. Juric's appointment was pointless. We would still get the same results with Sammie Saint at the helm .

Still more fans there than the club deserve.

I would honestly like to see an empty home end. Would send a powerful message

I just don’t understand why you’re so adamant about giving them a chance in an environment that’s been demonstrably poor? Surely at some point the benefit of the doubt gets given up? Let’s say Spors comes in, more crap recruitment and then in the Winter he’s sacked and they appoint a new one, do we just blindly have faith again because he’s new and everyone deserves a chance? Even though SR are still really in the drivers seat?

At what point does it become “okay there are clear issues that go beyond sports director here”? Because if it’s not at getting 9 points almost by March after terrible upon terrible recruitments and appointments, then when is it? I’m all for Spors to be given a shot but I’m not going to act like 1 man is going to turn everything around.

I'm not quite in the 'SR Out' camp yet because they did appoint Jason Wilcox which showed that they have at least made one decent decision (even if it is the ONLY one). For me though, 3 things need to happen in the (very early) summer:

    1. Clear out the deadwood
    2. Appoint Danny Rohl and
    3. Back him financially

Even if a 4-0 defeat, Ramsdale was our best player by a distance.

Our trip to the King Power might be our only realistic chance to beat Derby's record. Especially with Juric in charge.

This is critical for me, things need to be done early in the Summer. Very early. They should already be planning now to get things done in the first two weeks of the Window and getting in a new manager almost immediately after the Season ends.

If we are a month from Kick off and we’ve done nothing, as is the usual SR way then I don’t see any reason to defend them any more.

I would rather someone with championship promotions on their CV than rohl tbh.
Rohl does interest me but I still see it as a gamble. I still think we could aim for someone with more experience.

It’s a big ask for someone with limited experience to turn the club around.

Even someone like Cooper could be a shout. Someone to install discipline and defensive basics and turn us into an actual football team.
