To be fair they clearly proved last season they had a clue how to get out of the Championship as we got, you know, out of the Championship. They needed to be more ruthless. Been mentioned in here loads but get shot of the players that whilst good in the lower division clearly wouldn’t make it in the EPL. That cock Rasmus is all about breaking things that aren’t broken, well doing that and cutting away ****e that got you up with little thought of loyalty is breaking things that ain’t broken. Can’t believe that utter bellend missed such an opportunity to strut his stuff.
I know I’m massively in the minority but I always felt we tripped and stumbled into the PL last season. We did very well in the play offs and final don’t get me wrong but we luckily had a very very long run against not very good teams that it would have been seen as a disaster if we didn’t at least get play offs. But we tried our best. We failed to win in 8 of our last 15 championship matches that season. Including a 5-0 thrashing by Leicester who dicked us both times we played them. Even then we were getting absolutely rinsed by teams who set up to attack us. We lost to Leicester 4-1 too and got pumped by Sunderland 5-0. The warning signs were there. I was the miserable bastard last season who felt our results made us look a lot better than we were and didn’t want to go up because I thought we were far too weak as a team of people tried to get at us. I feel validated this season but I’m sure as **** not happy about it.
Yeah, I don't think they want to play for Juric. All fight and togetherness we had under RM is gone. The amount of public praise the players still give RM as well is weird. Just in the last week you've had Dibling, Bree, Ramsdale & Sugawara licking his arse.
Probably a combination of this and the fact they have accepted relegation too. Nothing to play for now.
Nothing except not being the worst PL team ever and even that doesn't seem to be a motivator. If it happens, every single one of them will be forever a part of that team.
They chucked it in towards the end his reign too. We lost 5-0 at home and our sole DM didn't commit a single foul ffs.
Watching KWP on his own at the own and Ramsdale - it definitely hurts for them. Felt sorry seeing their florn figures.
Genuinely would sack juric now and give Rusk the job again. Those were our only competent performances all season
Yep, agree about those two. I particularly felt so sorry for Ramsdale today. He got a decent applause from the Chapel at FT. Watching their teammates though is painful.
I think the team would be more cohesive without Juric but there needs to be a massive clear out of players in the summer. I so not feel any new manager coming in could trust them.. However, I agree that there is no point retaining Juric. We have seen enough and his salary is just money down the drain. I would be inclined to have one of the senior players take the role of Head coach until the end of the season. They contributed to the problem and should sort it out themselves especially if they have a beef with Juric.
Good experience for Rusk though. There’s no future for Juric at saints, may as well pay him up and give one of our staff the experience. Bump up a junior coach to u23
Just thinking back to that game; I wonder if, knowing (or hearing rumours) RM was about to get sacked, that was the game the players gave up in? Was a very weird game with lots of weird body language. Looking back on how the season has gone, that does seem to be a bit of a turning point. I know, I know, we were **** beforehand, we were bottom before and bottom since but since that game it's just been even increasingly worse and a complete **** avalanche.
I reckon so yeah. Especially Downes behaviour since January tallies with his pathetic performance that night.
