I agree. I had to smile, I wanted to comment on Danso and how solid he looked and every time I typed Danso my text changed it to Dawson.

Yes I thought, if he turns out to be another Dawson we'll be fine.

53 goals scored. Second only to Liverpool.

The current bottom 3 can still finish on 45-53 pts.

Yes! My reasons for preferring Spence at LB are because he’s shown an ability to use his left to dribble, pass and even cross, making him a double threat on the flank because he can both hug the line (as he should) but also cut inside on his favoured foot when opportunities present themselves as it did today.

Secondly, in the modern era of football, the majority of wingers/ wide forwards nowadays often play with their best foot cutting inside, so Spence being right footed having left footers cut inside against him plays into his hands as he’ll be stronger at defending with his better foot, the fact he’s rapid also helps with defending with his left if need be against any winger that runs the line.

Finally, the instructions for the RB role is so off in my opinion that neither he or Porro will ever truly flourish until it changes. Today literally showed that Porro probably isn’t as brain dead positionally as people think because Spence was doing the exact same thing. There were times Spence was closer too - and even higher up than - Bentancur in the middle. It created a huge void down that right flank which Ipswich exploited a number of times and is exactly what happens with Porro against other sides. Neither are bad players (clearly!), far from it in fact, yet the system hurts them more often than not when being instructed to play as they are.

Just let whoever plays there play as an actual RB, not some makeshift 6/8/10…

    Back to goal. Flicked header.
    Broke the defensive line.
    Ball moved much further forward.

    Therefore a 5.

So many on Twitter calling for Spence to be selected for England.

    Can you please **** off?!

It’s bad enough trying to keep our players fit with how we play and the amount we play, let alone going off to play even more!

Pretty sure we don't have one song which we only sing in the last five minutes if we're winning...

    Are you sure you’re English?

You hate the football team and now the rugby team.

    I'm from Croydon

Of course I hate the rugby team. My school didn't play the biscuit game, for a start...

One thing Danso offers which nobody who's played CB for us since December does is he can take a touch and calm things down, be it in the face of pressing forwards or if he's looking for a pass to get us on the front foot again

Those little moments of calmness and composure seem to be so little, yet offer so much

Brennan is the professional version of that kid in school who would just goal hang in the playground and grab a double hat-trick by the end of lunch break having contributed nothing else.

He would be a brilliant player if he could do anything but score. Which sounds like a really odd thing to say. The timing of his arrivals in the box have shades of Deli about them.

Been saying for a while he was signed precisely to be another Dempsey/Chadli, especially with his data saying he's exactly as efficient in front of goal as harry kane was for us

The problem is that, much like Dempsey and Chadli, if we don't have the ball we don't see him
