I just give my opinion. If it plays out like that in real time then that's just the way it is. Our coaches can be wrong you know.
Probably a bit of both. Ultimately it’s a question of how we carry a threat. Think we can have a more ‘functional’ midfield if we’re really singing out wide. And it works great against better teams. When we come up against stuff like today we just miss a creative edge in central attacking areas - particularly with a striker who is basically a spare part in buildup.
i had a feeling it would be hull AGAIN ending our home record, why the hell do we not waste time like them, top 2 now gone this will be a boring 2 and a half months now and reserve players need to be played to save the likes of Mayenda and Isidor, we need 8 points and they better get them, and why do they keep taking the ball left or right get through the sodding middle man, and still rubbish at corners and free kicks i give le bris 6 games to get it sorted or get out, they outfought us today seems like every team puts a show on here but there's nowt we can do about it, and stopping in for every televised game from now on it is a hell of a job getting home after each match, and there were police cars etc all over for some reason.
I picked a right one to travel up from down south to watch. Anyway, really need to start using squad now. Browne, Aleksic need minutes. Rigg , Roberts need dropping. And what did Moore ever do wrong in goal. Starting to think they stick with Patto to try draw a big bid in at summer. And no more Elf on the wing please
Today has definitely been a poor day. For the first time i now feel we are more likely to miss out on the playoffs than gain automatic promotion. Not that i think we will miss out on the playoffs, but im now thinking that, as far as points is concerned, we may end up closer to 6th than 2nd. Still a good season, but feel a bit deflated today.
WTF was that. Patterson should have put Roberts into the stands to get his mits on the cross. Midfield was not at the races ELF was well where was he. The team played as if Isidor wasn't there he ran his nads off everything seemed to be at a snails pace. Rigg is knackered Roberts is left to try and do everything on his own. The list goes on. Does RLB have a plan B. Every team we have played takes 3 or 4 passes and they are in our box I've counted the majority of times we take 3 or more just to get to the halfway line this tippy tappy stuff is good when you are winning but chasing a game you need pace injecting into the play. This has been going on for months and it's catching up with us. If we still are in the play offs come the end of the season teams do not win the play offs if they have no momentum going into those games. We have to up the pace of everything straight from kick off. Here ends my sermon. Have a great rest of weekend girls and boys. I'm off for a few beers to drown my sorrows.
Now might be a good time for Browne to show what he is, which is a really good championship CM. Arguably games like today are where players like shine. A bit of a dog fight at times, someone to offer another calm head in possession, someone to offer some guidance. No reason at all not to trust a lad who has played and captained at this level for as long as he has. He might just be the player that makes a difference.
I reckon Patterson would have caught that ball if it had a Pie attached to it. Whats going on with his weight? Looks like he's letting himself go massively and still walks in the starting lineup week in week out.
FFS someone who see's it and says it as it is. Our inability to handle games is a big factor in not getting promoted automatically. Look at the points we have dropped to ****e teams, we could and should have been top. We at times are better than Leeds or Sheff utd. But we candle it, and that's from the top down.
Absolutely. Would love nothing more to see Rigg have worldys ever week. Just hasn't happened for months though.
Worst home performance of the season. Another home game where we looked to be bright for about the first 7 mins then just sat back and invited them on to us. We showed no inventiveness or urgency on the ball and the goal is a clusterfuck of a one to concede. We start playing a bit more second half and miss a couple of good chances, Hume the only only seemingly capable of getting round the outside and crossing the ball. Why on earth we abandoned Isidor and Mayenda together at home is a mystery. Luton aside (who were woeful btw) we've been pretty poor in every home game since the change.
Bizarre that it’s even a discussion, if he was any other player in our midfield they would’ve been calling for his head months ago.
