Furlong doesn't look as if he is the one to solve our LB problem, he struggled to get into Wimbledon team.
So we have three left backs on the books (Furlong, Fleming and Jacob) but prefer to play a centre back at left back. We have also signed Giles and Vinagre for the same position who we have since shipped out. I wonder if Andy Dawson was consulted on any of this.
To compare Furlong with Connolly is very insulting. Look back to the first half of last season and how many goals Connolly was getting despite not starting every week. Until he got taken out by that disgraceful challenge from Gunn he was a big player for us. I play walking footy with a Millwall season ticket holder who's been very impressed by him so far.
He had a further 6 months after that where he did **** all though. Spent his time earning his court ordered rehab
Obviously he had a lot of issues, and can't imagine the injury he suffered that night against Norwich exactly helped. I'd just say I would love to have him available tomorrow.
I did see the other day he got two but when I looked last night it downgraded it to one so I just went with that
I watched the highlights after seeing it had been downgraded and I’m unsure as to why as they’re both clearly his
I’d massively oversestimated how old TSF was I thought he was 21 turning 22 not 19 turning 20. Definitely one of the brighter prospects currently, you can’t teach his eye for a goal. If he sharpens up in other areas he’ll break through next season I think
Why the **** does it still persist that Furlong was Rosenior signing? Furlong was still in Ireland when Rosenior left Brighton. He was a brain team project. He was no more Rosenior signing than Alzate, who also happened to play for Brighton.
