    1.00 Leicester Ballycassel (NAP)

Nigel Twiston-Davies has an interesting recruit from the Irish Point-to-Point scene here in the shape of Ballycassel. He got off the mark at the 4th time of asking in P2P at Largy in April 2010 when beating Court In Session a neck. Given that one's subsequent achievements that is a decent piece of form. He was then off the track for 18 months (not sure if he was injured?) before returning for a P2P at Loghanmore when beating 2 previous winners in Milano Magic and Curraghmore. He will certainly know the time of day and the early odds of 5/1 make him decent value in my book against a very short favourite.

    Best of luck everyone <ok>

Yeah it was a good drift. Should have won really, Thornton was caught out by a great ride from Noel Fehily on the winner, got into his mount form much further out and his momentum took him past mine. By the time Thornton could respond the winner was past him. Another 100 yards and he would've caught him I reckon.

Don't want to put the kibosh on the team, but I think we're in for a golden run. Fek them other sites and papers, what do they know? The power is here.

Bacon sarnies, cup of tea, listening to Radio 5L and studying form - just need the tips to hose up and it's a perfect day.

Hexham 12.20 - STOPPED OUT. Looks value to me at 9/2 against odds on FAV (albeit a worthy FAV) Likes the going and recent races working out well.

Hexham 1.20 - LE ROI ROUGE. Ferdy Murphy - 'nuff said? Currently 5/2 but price is dropping.

    Singles and a double.

    <grr><grr><grr><grr>****ing meetings.

All iv heard all morning is idiots pretending to know more about a subject than they actually do.

And saying 'absolutely' at the start of every bloody sentence.

    Am I pissed off?

    ABSOLUTELY.

<laugh> Welcome to the corporate world Toppy.

The "Absolutely" syndrome is not a bad one. Other to watch out for are:

"Significant" as in "we have seen a significant improvement ................" - used only when the measured improvement is so small as to not matter

"Not acceptable" - one of our American customers, when told that a Turkish supplier would not be able to work over a weeked due to the feast of Ramadan said "That's not acceptable. Fix it." <laugh>

"Metrics" (also "KPIs") - the whole world has gone metrics mad. Companies full of management who say "I am data driven" but really mean "I won't make a decision without mountains of data, and if it goes wrong I can blame the data".

    ****ing A .........................

    <laugh> Oddy....such a cliched wonderland.

I tend to phone the conference team and ask for details re upcoming cycle/national meetings. They are always reluctant to divulge dates but when I state that i'd hate to miss them and want to arrange leave accordingly, they yield.

I then make sure I'm on vacation when these borefest's are taking place.

    I'm such a team player...<laugh>

    <laugh> Oddy.

Then the classic 'that's something we can discuss at the next meeting.'

How about 'balls, we are at a meeting AS WE SPEAK so lets do something now!'

Like the House of ****ing Lords some meetings are.

Whilst we are on about management terms this from the Nurseing Director
"There are Islands of excellence in the sea of mediocracy that is our trust"

well looks like im drowning in the front line sea but its nice to be thought of a just being mediocre, if only i could aspire to be an Island, one can dream

    **** em all i say
