The nearer the weekend, the more confident I am of a good result.

I am now thinking we'll only lose by 2 goals

Ivan Juric says the Flynn Downes situation is now resolved and he will be back in the squad for the Brighton game

A bit pathetic that it took so long, hope he was getting docked wages. But hopefully we can all move on now as we need him back up to speed, not just to help us get over the Derby line this season, but obviously next season he'd be a massive asset in the Championship again.

It seems like someone has seen some common sense. If Downes was playing up then I’ll support any manager who deals firmly with it. Clearly it’s better if the problem is now resolved. It’ll be interesting to see when he is admitted to the match day squad and then played.

Think i'll give this one Amis, I'll be thinking of those Hardy souls that do go, I just can't see us making Brighton Rock. (three of my favourite authors)

To keep the author puns going (let's face it better than fish or cheese)

Let's hope Archer scores and he will be worth not a penny more, not a penny less if he does so....

Surely that has to include Dickens too.

Our centre back Jack is a bit of a Child. Or is that pun too much of a Reacher?

    One for the referees.
In the video the linesman was running the line where the right back was defending, whereas now they tend to run the line where the left back is defending.
I remember seeing that in the 1976 FA Cup video too.
Any idea when and why it changed?

Everyone has forgotten the late Roger Moore’s first major TV role, playing a character called Simon Templar, created in a series of over 50 books by Leslie Charteris. Templar had a nickname based on his initials.

The first one was called The Saint Meets The Tiger.

Not everyone! I remember watching The Saint, in black and white, on a valve-operated TV that generated so much heat that it kept the room warm

Sutton's prediction: 0 - 1 The problem with playing a prediction game is that my guest and the BBC readers are clearly going to go with a Southampton defeat too. I don't think anyone out there will go with a Saints win, will they?

Singer Bradley Simpson who is a Newcastle fan's prediction: 1 - 3. Brighton are the better team and, realistically, this is going Brighton's way. I don't think Southampton will just lie down though.
