Brighton and Fulham both like to mess up against the lower sides this season (otherwise they'd be up alongside Forest). So whilst I would expect us to lose, this is one of our better chances to put Derby to bed.

I accept your amendment but at least I avoided “very little hope OF killing anyone here”

Why not predict a win, sh1t or bust eh!

I presume we’re not allowed to sing “Does your non-binary friend know you’re here?”

    I’ll get my portmanteau

Never stay up for the last match MOTD fiasco. By then the post match despondency has finally no need for anymore stimulus.

    I can’t do exciting breakfast
To much flavour overwhelms me in the morning <laugh>

Cereal, Porridge, Toast, Pancakes, Fruit, Eggs, that’s my limit

I’d give it a go later in the day :D
If I could get it down my local warung

Loved this but on the fence about Dickens. I have read several of his books but gave up.reading others are 'Hard times' which starts off about eduction and then becomes a critique of industrial woes. A game of two halves...?

We went to see a stage production of 'Far from the madding crowd and had forgotten how melodramatic Thomas Hardy was. I think he is overrated and have to say that Jane Austen has no appeal fir me either.

Best local writer from the past was Gilbert White. I like Dickens but think he is uneven.

    You a Dickens fan ?

I love writers including classic authors. Dickens use of dialogue is exceptional but so much Victorian writing can be melodramatic or maudlin. I think Hardy is a particularly bad offender. If I had to choose a 'great Victorian novel it would probably be Joseph Conrad's 'Nostromo ' although I quite like Emile Zola.

Dickens, Hardy, and Austen. You’re welcome.

    Anyway, this is off topic.

Ours an all day dish, maybe weekend breakfast, it's only now and then when Mrs J gets the notion. I do the prep or keep out of the way as required.

Dickens, Hardy and Austen might be more mobile than our actual midfield.

I bought Hard Times a few months back but not got round to reading it yet. Anyone got anything to say to convince me to pick it up?

I’d certainly have great expectations for Dickens, Hardy would be good at finding space far from the madding crowd and Austen I’m sure would defend with sense and sensibility
