I can see sheff utd dropping quite a few points in their next 5 games, let's just take 1 game at a time and let's see what happens.
I'm sure anyone of us would have taken play offs at the start of season so to me anything is a bonus

Unbelievably confident that we win the playoffs. Need to get Mundle back playing soon though, he's the difference.

They battered us barring the first 5 minutes of each half, didn’t create much granted but we couldn’t get close to them. We just sat back and hoped to soak up all the pressure could see they were going to win once their first goal went in. Its was a brave performance from us but we were dominated for the majority of the match simple as that really. Can’t really say anything but we were second best all over the park and the result shows it. Not the first time we have turned a winning position into a defeat either so there’s definitely something wrong not being able to see out a game repeatedly.

    Not true. Gutted here.

Just don't link us sitting back and conceding so much second half. It's been most of the season and this why we have conceded more late goals that anyone.

Think our squad is better than that.

That's probably why they didn't have their first shot in target till the 42nd minute!

Me too mate. Anything can happen on the day but we’ll be favourites for sure. Hopefully we go on a massive run and go up automatically but for the first time going into play offs I don’t think I’d be nervous.

Sorry mate, but you constantly post more when we lose and when we win you hardly post.

Been down this road before and won't be doing it again

    Autos are far from gone.

We absolutely have the best games left.

    I agree

But that doesn't detract from our performance which for the most part was great.

I just think RLB has form for sitting in, in the first half it was fine because it was a controlled block, we stiffled them and were able to retain possession a bit to relieve pressure. We kept the fouls in our third to a minimum to prevent easy crosses from free kicks.

In the second we focused less on possession than we did in the first and concentrated more on our shape and block. Gifting more possession, which they turned the screw, the pace upped and we lost our control in the block, more hap hazard defending, balls aimlessly lumped forward, inability to win a second ball and giving awayt free kicks in our third. I'd fine Roberts a weeks wages tbh, you cant prepare for a game all week, have this game plan and give away a free kick like that, cant even give him the benefit of 'he nearly got the ball'.

The gaffer saw all this and doubled down, bringing his love child Samed on, who again is fine but profile is not fitted for the rigg role and is not what we needed and we got even more alamo like with the defending.

I'm all for this controlled block, if our intent is to snap in and burst forward with regularity. I'm not a fan of sitting in and aimlessly punting it forward to relieve pressure for 3 seconds.

First is gone, top 2 possible, Leeds/Burnley have to beat Sheffield ideally rather than draw and we need to be near perfect.

I know he didn't. He is a CDM and was played as a 10. Poor decision. Play the serb. Least we would have had some pace and an actual 10 to keep an attacking threat.

    Should've made better subs.

There were a few dead on their feet but couldn't tackle as they were on a yellow.

1st half was class, 2nd you could see us tire and they upped the tempo.

    Gutted.

I don't think I do. Just debating tactics that's lost us the game.

Of to kip now anyway. Graft in the morning.

Tough one to take and obviously gutted like anyone else.

Leeds are the best team we have faced this season and gave em a run for their money.

Just got to keep going to the end of the season!

Would definitely fancy us in the playoffs. No fear in this team and loads of attacking talent. In the past I haven't been confident about us in crunch situations but these lads are special.

Had Hume put his chances away you'd of been praising RLB at the end..

Massive learning curve for the young lads

Sheffield Utd have had some bloody luck, they are scraping results. Burnley could easily go on a bad run, they have a great defence but very average up front.

    There's 13 game to go...of course it's possible

Always hard to comment after conceding a late goal. Got a message of my mate who says we've been the best team to play their in the league this season, he was raving about Neil - says its the best performance he's seen from a player there this season

It's disappointing and I know folk are writing off automatics but I've watched the championship long enough to know there will be twists and turns before the end of the season. We are not catching Leeds, they are levels above the other teams in this league. The next 4/5 games will tell us whether automatics is on or not.

I thought for 60-70 minutes tonight we were decent however, we have to be better in possession than we were today. 1 player was showing the composure needed and that was Neil. Our midfielders were working so hard out of possession they almost didn't know what to do when we had it.

I am worried about our lack of impact from subs, Leeds had 2 subs win them the game today and ours struggled. I would never be playing Samed as an AM, that's a ridiculous decision imo.

Thought hume, O9 and Ballard were good tonight, same with isidor but we needed more from Jobe, Rigg, Roberts, Le Fee and Cirkin when we were in possession.

Lots of positives to take from tonight and I always prefer to focus on that

Final word has to be on Neil again, anyone who doesn't think he can play in the PL just needs to watch his performance tonight. He broke up play, blocked passing lanes and his ability in possession was class. Good CMs always look like they've got time on the ball and that was him tonight.

Need to beat Hull to get momentum back
