Thankfully I was not up to a 4:00 am wake up call and slept in until it was well over. A point away I suppose is considered a good result but the usual last minute failure has cost us dearly again and isn't good enough I reckon to maintain whatever momentum we had going towards the play-offs. If you look back over our season how many chances do we need to cement a top six placement but for some inexplicable reason we never reach the heights that we could and should be at in a competitive division? It seems to me that sometimes decisions are made that hinder us in our supposed quest and that would include our stated inability to delve into the January transfer window and if you go back to the shocking picks made during the summer the whole failure has to include those quite shocking transfers that did nothing to up our ante in the play-off stakes. Excuses are no longer acceptable because we have heard them for too many years, and under a myriad of managers, as it becomes more evident that someone has a finger where it shouldn't be and they need to extract it as soon as possible so we can get back to the reality of running a successful football club.
Some trouble in Cardiff after the match, apparently Arrest after Cardiff-Bristol football disorder https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/ce8j9z9q5e8o EDIT: Apparently it was BEFORE the game… Violent mob rampages through city centre clashing with police https://mol.im/a/14401561
Thats the prince of wales. thats was not trouble and thats not violent. the prince of wales for the ldv was trouble and was violent.
Bunch of numpties trying to look hard but end up just throwing a few bottles at the pub and soon scarper off the moment the police appear.... You boys seem to be developing a bit of a problem with antisocial behaviour this season don't you?? Hopefully it'll be a short-lived "fad" - no club needs that kind of stuff nowadays...
Slo cru had a look but the sight of better dressed men who dont tuck their trousers into their armpits scared them off. no pavements were danced on England won without winning.
methinks not that means so much theyd gone to three cb's but tanners got caught out and vyners decides take tanners man and city no longer have three cb's tight together. wells? doesn't go with his man? and roberts ended up looking like hed been on a old park merry go round. it was one of them what are 3/4 of em doing??
Spot on. Vyner decides - wrongly. Unbelievable decision to vacate the bloody area that's his and move to the touch line. You only see that in under 12s. As for Roberts, he could have done better but the die was cast because of Vyner's stupid mistake. A fit McNally might have also saved Vyner's blushes and the loss of 2 precious points. We could also aim our fire at the decision to let Atkinson out on loan to Pompey.
to be honest i think it was all of em. the tone was set from kick off with the non pressing front foot machine plodding around up top. Cardiff passed through them most of the game. that will be the cardiff nearer the bottom versus a team youd think would be balls to the wall to crack into the play offs.
It’s funny how we seldom, or almost never get 90 minute plus goals but we’re famous for conceding them over the years
There's none so blind..... Ffs Supcon have another look. It's ridiculous Vyner literally running to the touch line creating an enormous void.
The team was not compact. If they are dropping off, and they were the defensive shape should be compact, two lines and the midfield should be screening.
As you say RR our points lost column is a joke especially when a lot of them were thrown away in the last few minutes. Those figures are the sole reason why we won't make the play-offs this season but our past history in total dictates that is the Bristol City way and nobody seems willing or able to stop the rot.
Only 8 teams have conceded less than us in last 15 minutes. We’ve conceded 8 goals but actually scored 8 times in last 15 minutes. So it’s not just us it happens too. https://www.soccerstats.com/table.asp?league=england2&tid=k
