The policemen were joking. There were no victims, the offensive remarks were made in private. Mr Gwynne could be displaying hate in his messages. This was not done in public. In my line of work people frequently in our private sphere express their frustration with un pc remarks.There should be a distinction between the private and the public, principles of privacy and freedom of speech are being undermined.
As I said it’s a fine line and it only takes one person in a group to disagree with someone else to rat on others and destroy careers But when you are under public scrutiny as politicians are, then they need to watch what they say and to who they say it
