... strikes again. Born in France, lived in France, employed in France, played for France then switched to Tunisia. In 2022 he was involved in an incident that saw Gustavo Hamer injured then sent off. In January, this year, he deliberately stamped on a Stoke player with the intention of hurting him and rightly banned. But, after a Preston player something a bit nasty to him, today, we have to feel sorry for him. According to Parker, ""The boy was hurt at that moment in time and he was emotional," So the courageous Hannibal goes to the media to call out this racism ... ... "I will not be silent about what happened today. I will always call out racism whenever I hear or see it. That is the only way we change as a sport and a society. I am a strong person but nobody should have to experience this disgusting abuse on the pitch." Very good except you didn't actually have the balls to call out what was said. If you feel so strongly spit it out man, otherwise you're just making your mouth go like the other idiot.
He's a bit of a k**b mind. Canny player but a dirty one and arrogant with it. No idea what was said, and I was watching it live and the player at Preston is a right t**t. I think he's the one that got a big ban for biting someone. Biting! But maybe he read about what the sainted Sam Kerr has said, and thought, "I can say stupid s**t too".
Seriously, what's the very worst thing he could’ve said for him to go off like a tart? Unless it was telling him to get the hair out of his eyes, or recommending a better conditioner, it’s a bit extreme tbh … … it’s just an idiot saying something idiotic.
Name calling should never be an offence, essentially it’s an opinion which we’re all entitled to. Physical/violent abuse is different which is an offence in all circumstances.
FFS, is that it? I was called things, on the doors, that makes that look like a friendly compliment ... ... I'd come back with something worse and we'd usually both laugh about it. I never went running to my manager saying a nasty man was calling me names, he'd have laughed his head off.
Is he neither of these? If someone called me a white man, I wouldn't be offended. If he called me a honky, I might take it up with him, as that to me, can be deemed as racist. Same as the 'N' word. I watched it live, and he asked his teammates to walk off in protest. Thought the ref and fourth official handled it well.
Is this the bell end who said why would Man U want Rigg when they had him and he was the better player. Rigg at 17 is way ahead of him at 22.
I always thought that was a really silly word tbh. I'd be more offended to be called a Muppet ... ... unless it was Animal, always thought he was cool
I literally couldn't care less what someone calls me, I'd probably just laugh if someone called me a honkey or stupid white man etc. We live in a world where everyone is offended by absolutely anything and it's become a bit ridiculous. Sticks and stones and all that...
I totally agree, hopefully the Preston player is banned again as a message to racists on and off the pitch. However, I'd also say that if he was just called a black man it's a totally hysterical reaction. Especially after he deliberately jumped on a Stoke player's stomach then acted as if nothing had happened. But my main point was that Hannibal went straight to the media 'to call out racism' but didn't actually do that. If he's so upset he should've simply made clear what was said, that's what I find hypocritical.
That’s also wrong. Stupid people made that decision not sure why you keep mentioning his stamp. Racism is racism. Both actions are despicable. He stamped on someone doesn’t mean he deserves to be racially abused
Because that's part of what makes him a hypocrite which is my point. I also find him hypocritical as he didn't say what was said when he claimed to be calling out racism and didn't. I've said that racism should be punished so I'm clearly not saying he deserved it. I would say, however, that this is very low down on the scale of racial abuse imo ... ... stupid insults to me, in the heat of the moment, aren't anything I'd choose to report personally.
Scale for racism now? and a stamp doesn’t make him a hypocrite. If he’d had been racist to someone then cried about racism that would make him a hypocrite.
Of course there's a scale for racism, that's common sense. It's a legal definition, not just my opinion ... https://www.sentencingcouncil.org.u...ous-grounds-or-grounds-of-sexual-orientation/ What's hypocritical about the stamp in his defence of it and how blasé he was about the offence ... ... compared to his hysterical reaction to being called a name. And how he claimed to be calling out racism but actually wasn't.
I know for a fact Hannibal isnt racist. If he was, B.A. wouldnt have getting anywhere near the A-Team!
