Remote - despite Robins going there, Stoke are poor.

Watched the Stoke/Swansea game on a live stream. Stoke were poor but won - the jacks tried to look good but lost.

Stoke's first was via the ref's wrist monitor watch which showed the jack defender cleared it after it had crossed the goal line. Their second was a super free kick delivery into the Jack's box and they just watched the Stoke guy poke it home.

Their third was an extraordinary piece of opportunism by Baker in extra timewho scored with a super shot from his own half when he saw the Jack keeper off his line.

All Swansea did was pass, pass, pass - what a bloody boring side they are. Wouldn't be surprised to see them sucked right into a bottom 6 scrap.

And there lies the problem. I’ve bored you all with this damning statistic but it’s worth reiterating: 3 wins out of last 19 games tells its own story.

Ok we’ve staunched what felt like inevitable home losses and notched 2 home wins this year & a few more draws which is an improvement but we need to pull a mad away win or two from left field plus winning at home especially those around us who’ll be visiting us soon.

We rarely don’t score so need also to get back to the October shut outs displays & get our noses in front in upcoming games.

Well the "couple of wins" could (should?) be our next two games against Plymouth and Hull - both currently below us in the table

Before we go to Plymouth next weekend, they're playing Luton away on Wednesday. That's a crucial game for both bottom 2 clubs.

I suffered the Wurzel v Stoke game in midweek and Stoke looked absolutely dire.

Honestly, it was like watching us when we were at our absolute lowest ebb under any of the previous managers we've had.

It's going to be a real mixed bag of results for all of us in the lower end of the table because none of us look capable of stringing several wins in a row together...

Completely agree with Nin, if we can tighten up at the back again then we'll stand a decent chance of being ok as we do now look like we can create enough to score one or two (unless we are in one of those moods where we are completely flat).

You were trying to emulate the other CCFC with your own late goal, but it was too early for us ! Hahaha

Generally don't like watching defensive sides, but keeping clean sheets and getting the odd goal yourselves is one way to the top.

Burnley have only scored 4 more goals than us so far, but they've unbelievably only let in 9 goals all season - we've conceded 54. <doh>

Just looked up their stats this season. 11 goalless draws!

They’re on course to beat the record of 30 goals in a season held currently by Watford a few seasons back.

The championship just keeps on giving.

Love or loathe them but Leeds played really well tonight in the second half. Quick precise pass and movement, great ball control, patient build up but ironically two set piece goals.

Plus it wouldn't be the championship without very late drama.

    1-1 between Plymouth and Luton.
Probably the best result for us.

I wouldn't have minded Luton winning and denting Plymouth's confidence for Saturday.

I hadn't thought of it like that though on the other hand, we don't want either gaining any confidence and momentum.

Terrible game between two poor sides and easily the best result for us.

If we don't beat both of those two in our run in starting Saturday, we'll really be in the mire. How have Luton gone from playing Prem football last season to that garbage? Plymouth having come up last season have an excuse but that alone doesn't cut the mustard in the Championship.

Watched it on the box on and off but couldn't get it out of my head I wasn't watching a League 1 fixture - I think it will be next season

Breaking news from Wales Online this morning.

    Swan on the hard shoulder
Traffic Wales has said as well as the poor driving conditions there is a swan on the hard shoulder.

The team who monitor the main roads in Wales say they have had "numerous calls" about the swan and have said: "Traffic officers are now at scene and will remain with the swan until assistance arrives."

It has been reported that the Swan cannot take it anymore, has sold his caravan and wants to relocate to a city with a decent football team. Reports suggest that Newport or Barry could be the ideal destination.

There seems more positive than negative in that update.
    Salech to get a start?
Davies back could be exciting. Him on one side, Ashford on the other.

I think Alves will be one wide player after seeing him last week. Davies on bench.

    :emoticon-0140-rofl::emoticon-0140-rofl::emoticon-0140-rofl:

Alves, Ashford, Tanner, El Ghazi, Willock, Davies.

    Robinson Salech, Sivic

When they are all fit Meite won't even make the subs bench.

It's as strong a squad as we've seen for some time, on paper.

It's largely down to Riza and his back room staff now.

    433 was a bust. Stick to 4231.
It'll largely come down to the correct selections at 6, 8, and 10.

Ignoring their Cup game at Citeh on the weekend, I noticed that after us tomorrow, Plymouth have got Hull, Portsmouth and Derby coming up in the League.

Some massive survival games there just like their last game at Luton - perhaps some more draws like that would be useful?

As long as we win our games of course. <doh>
