Well I have not got high expectations but second half we battled but the problem is when we press we leave huge spaces at the back. Can't understand why Ugochukwu didn't start but can imagine for Dibling 90 minutes would have been too. We really could have done with a loan center back in the transfer window...
I never thought I’d say this but I think I am actually done for the season. Just can’t find any joy in this team or club. Hate the tactics, the players (except Fernandes and ramsdale) and more importantly the owners. We even left early, soon after we scored as I knew the inevitable would happen… (another thing I have never done before), and I wanted to leave on a high. There is just nothing good about supporting us this season. See you all in the champ
Agreed, but it's been that way for ages. This season is irrelevant, we just have to hope it's a blip and we can reset with a new manager, and a new focus, and new people running the club in the summer.
Agree. Certainly the second half was more of a contest, just knew their 3rd would come. We’re miles behind in class and confidence but at least I felt we had much more to offer in the second half. League position and status was settled weeks ago but at least some energy was more obvious today at times. Need to sort out the defensive blind spots, couldn’t see the 3rd goal but the first two were so easy.
We’remiles behind in class and confidence. We are also way behind in strength, speed of movement, speed of thought, passing, ball control. We do have a lovely bunch of lads, who are polite, kind to animals and love their mums.
I'm not. I'm finding it very easy to judge. I don't want him here a minute longer after the season finishes. We have very little PL quality in the squad as it is. So don't make life worse by leaving out Les and Dibling. We were so much better with them on the pitch - it shouldn't take a genius manager to see that! If we must persist with the awful five at the back, then a CM of Les and Fernandes, with Sulemana and Dibling either side of a striker (Paul or Archer), feels like the only possible way to make the team effective. Cook (who isn't even a right back) got booked on 8 minutes. After 16 minutes we took Sulemana away from him until the 56th minute. Forget about not needing to be a genius manager - just a semi-competent manager should be realising that letting Sulemana run at Cook would be a good idea.
What saddens me is that I know a number of ST holders (many of them long-term ST holders) who are seriously considering not renewing. That's the damage this season is causing. I wonder if the club are considering offering a very healthy early bird discount for renewing early. Whether that be to persuade people to stay, or to apologise for this season.
Because he wasn't good enough according to many on here. And now he's signed for a team much better than us.
