Poor choice from Delap earlier, should've squared it to Hutch for a much easier chance than the one he ended up taking himself.
That wasn't a bad half from us. We looked decent and were holding Villa off pretty well. Then Enciso sits down on the grass, looking absolutely gutted at what looks like an ankle injury. Jack Clarke replaces him. More bad luck follows with Tuanzebe shown a second yellow card and he leaves the pitch and we're down to ten men. McK will have to make some changes now, I think we might see Godfrey come on for Johnson. We're up against it now, a draw here would be a great result.
We were doing well, Enciso injury early on, Tuanzebe with an early yellow doesn't keep himself in check and gets a second and is sent off. Delap running the front well, was played in by Clarke and with Hutch in a great position centre of the goal he decided to retain the ball and ended up taking a tame shot. Bad choice as Hutch would've had a far better chance had the ball been squared to him. Palmer has looked ok.
Think we’ve been playing well so far. Defensively solid and still keeping our shape when going forward - despite being a man down. We don’t seem to missing Morsy or Davis either - both Phillips and Townsend having good games so far. Palmer has made a couple of good saves too. As for the goal, great cross in from Hutchinson and a very neat, clever finish from Delap. He’s on double figures for the season now - if we do stay up, he’ll have played a crucial role. Hope we can hold out but can’t see it personally. Fingers crossed though!
