I think Bournemouth will win 3 nil. Hope their fans make the most of this season as I can see their manager and half the squad being poached in the summer. The story of Bournemouth from the day's of Trevor Watkins (?) And Cherries Aid has been remarkable.
TSP said it was because Juric favours CB’s who can drive forward with the ball, when playing 3. It’s thought Wood doesn’t/ can’t offer that.
That theory is based on the fact that we have the ball in the first place? It’s really difficult to be the slightest bit optimistic with all the noise in the opposite direction. I wonder what the conversations that Juric has with his mates are like? It’s like they’re trying to deal with a situation faced by farmers in trying to tidy up their slurry yard, it doesn’t matter how/ what you do, it’s still slurry, just a different shape. Just keeping my fingers crossed that we do not collapse like we did v Brentford. The one thing is as an earlier post suggested, from a Bournemouth pov, what could possibly go wrong?!!!
Okay…positives, we’re not starting 4 full backs and 1 CB in defence. We have a striker on the pitch…umm, that’s about it. Our midfield is usually a weakness and we’ve decided for some reason to make it even less mobile and physical than normal. I don’t get it. Also, no Dibling in the starting lineup. Downes still being a twat. And 3 full backs on the bench. Scary. Good luck to all you Saints fans going today! I hope you’re rewarded with some kind of freak performance and result. First home PL game I’m missing so far this season. Not even slightly disappointed.
Because he's been pretty average since he came back and I'd rather see Sulemana/Onuachu/Fernandes in the front three on current form. He can come off the bench and make a difference.
The subs bench could give the starting team a game. Presumably we will be 3 down by half time, so the subs don’t need to be used.
Agreed he's been much less influential of late, but Fernandes isn't the same player on the right as he is in the middle, Juric himself admitted this. I'd far rather a hit and miss Dibling on the right than Fernandes. We have very few players that are PL quality. Wish we'd play them in their actual positions to make the most of them.
Yet another manager throwing spaghetti at the wall to see what sticks, when are we going to get a manager that is not trying to reinvent the wheel instead of just sticking to the best XI?
