I've been saying this when people have been asking why nufc haven't sponsored the ground etc..... Now it should make sense.
It's the Europe twist which is important. I think until that aspect is clarified there won't be any rush of deals.
The Premier league should know when to quit, but it's going to fight tooth and nail. Man City came right out the gate knowing the rules were void and said exactly that, and then Masters came scurrying out his webb pointing at small elements. They knew fine well they'd lost the first case and that's why they hurried through the next vote. The media should be annihilating him, but they'll once again peddle his bullshit, because deep down they are terrified of the rules allowing Newcastle to spend. The net is closing in and we'll see an acceptance of fate after tantrums galore.
I wouldn't be surprised if Newcastle put through sponsorship requests years ago maybe even before our champions league season. The Premier League’s will have rejected them hopefully. It's all getting very interesting.
Btw it's also common knowledge that these rules were brought in days after Newcastles takeover and those rules have been found unlawful. There's a claim there surely If memory serves me correctly Newcastle weren't even invited to the vote.
The rules did previously exist in some capacity mind, but nonetheless the PL has been burrowed out into full view.
"Clubs whose competitive performance was impacted by blocked deals can sue for significant damages." Manchester City statement.
