Sunderland AFC supporters are advised that ticket checks have been introduced throughout the Stadium of Light. Fans are reminded that all match tickets and season tickets (card or digital) must correspond with their correct age and status. In recent weeks, spot checks have unfortunately resulted in several fans being escorted from the stadium after entering the ground with tickets that did not align with their correct status. These instances have taken place in general admission and premium areas and included adults entering with concession tickets and personal assistants entering without their dependent. Club policy states that any person(s) identified entering the stadium using an incorrect ticket will be escorted from the ground and provided with an opportunity to purchase the correct ticket, including match and season tickets. Supporters are advised that season tickets will require payment for the full season and not only the fixture being attended. All tickets will be suspended until payment is made and if payment is not received at all, the ticket holder will be banned from the stadium and prevented from purchasing any further tickets until further notice. If you are in any doubt about the ticket you are using to attend fixtures at the Stadium of Light, please seek clarification from the ticket office by visiting AskSAFC.com. Fans are also reminded that anyone aged 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult when attending fixtures at the Stadium of Light. SAFC thanks all supporters for their understanding in relation to this and we look forward to welcoming you to back to Wearside on Saturday 22nd February when Hull City travel to the Stadium of Light (KO 12.30pm GMT). Ticket checks introduced at the Stadium of Light - Sunderland AFC
Me and the missus were just talking about this as I'm thinking of getting season tickets next year if (no!) WHEN we go up. She was staying that anyone could get in cos they won't check. It's as if the club were listening!
I like that the escort them to the ticket office and say ‘pay for a full season card or get out”! If you’ve been going all season on a kid’s ticket!
Be the same people who twist about transfer funds, stadium spend etc etc ! put as little as possible into the club but demand the world from the club in return. Bunch of toss pots
Yep. ,My Dad is disabled, but I still paid full price for my season card when I had it. Purely for this reason. If I am doing my bit for the club then others should too
Not one to stick the boot in but it's about time, people don't even try and hide it. Lad I worked with years ago had been taking the piss for years paying coppers for a season ticket while I'm paying full price and called me a mug.
The lads who were adored as Massive Lads Fans and who chanted "Seats!!!" (Main stand Roker end) all piled in with copy tickets because security was non existent. I was one of them for a few games. I got behind the club and purchased my first season ticket Main Stand Fulwell End for the last few seasons at Roker... so I can understand the thrill of getting away with it at such a young age (early twenties for me). Glad to hear the club are cutting off this loophole and we all get behind the club.
My GF at the moment works at a school, some people believe, they are entitled to everything cheap, or just for nothing, the parents dont work, ****ers should be gelded
Fair enough. It's easy on the app too. When my lad doesn't want to go or is a night game, I just ask any of my mates if they want to go instead. Upgrade his ticket on the app. It's like 14-16 quid to do normally.
I have OAP concession tickets in Premier Concourse. On a number of occasions this season I have transferred my ticket to adult who does not qualify for concession. When transferring tickets I always tick the upgrade box on my account but as yet have never been charged the extra which I believe is £7. Anyone else found likewise when transferring tickets???
