Brings into question the decision to let Atkinson go to Portsmouth on loan.

We must have put a recall clause in there, surely?

    We did JGF. Very professional.
Without intending to piss on the campfire though, Stoke were awful. They were more toothless up front than us - and that’s saying something. Their keeper kept our score down with some great saves. They looked to me like relegation fodder.
I rate Mark Robins as a manager but I think he’s got a very difficult task on his hands there.

I realise that, but flip side is leaves us short if one of our CB’s get injured, as has happened. Bearing in mind our proximity to the playoffs

@wizered - is there any chance we could pin this thread? A ‘general’ BCFC thread will always be relevant.

You can only recall during transfer windows I think. Never heard of anyone being recalled during the transfer closed period.

And yet they had the forward that a lot of our fans wanted.

I hate this, but they were poor stuff. Maybe they could not cope and play against us.

bit of a grey area? maybe the contract has flexibility built in ... like whole season no recall ... revision ability at Jan window for 2nd half another club ... .... or if special emergency????

Unfortunatley JGF ROD is correct, you can only recall under a season long loan in the winter transfer window. EFL regulation 56.1.2.

there is a flexibility aspect where both sides can agree to "move on" . If a team wants a player back then they can ask and team who has them who can say no! we have a contract.

Injuries / lack of contracted minutes are 2 points that can be discussed re terminating contract!
The players registration is help by the team having the loanee, so registered with the FA [ LEAGUE ]

Iwill try and find the article I was reading last night gives a concise set of procedures

I didnt say he was incorrect!!! . merely stated what could be in the contract should certain events occur... probably more than just the 3 I mentioned.
