Was rubbish for Blunts in the prem league season....But who wasn't? Got some right pelters and a lot of the blame. Interesting that Burnley didn't fancy him. Confidence issue? Legs gone? Both?

Probably down to the 9 goals conceded all season without him playing much

At the risk of almost agreeing with Brady I think saying Jones has been an embarrassment is pretty harsh.

As for Egan - surely it's too early to tell

I don’t. For someone so good last season he’s gone into complete hiding. Last week against Stoke summed it up, was bullied all game by a teenager

On Egan, it’s perfect timing for judging his first 90 minutes. But far too early to judge his season’s work with us. He does need to improve from a low base imo.

Agreed - I meant it's too early to tell whether he is a decent signing or not. Just because his first 90 minutes wasn't great doesn't mean we write him off

2 - 0 to the tigers. Should be more but we miss lots of chances.

    Here's hoping.

He wasn’t even the best centre back playing for us on Wednesday, it was a very poor debut.

I think we’ll nick it by the odd goal or 2.
I’d like to see Puerta back, he always looks a class above when I’ve seen him play.

I’ve criticised Jones for his passing out from the back but Egan was even worse for it on Wednesday. Jones is still a good defender in terms of his positioning and awareness. Jones seems to struggle a bit at left centre-half when we’re in possession. Jones and McLoughlin should be the pairing until Hughes is available again.

I think Jacob's offers us a bit more in the oppositions area. He gets headers and has scored a couple. Not sure what's happened to coyle this season but he seems half the player. Not a big Drameh fan, but hes probably the better choice.
To the bench with Egan and I dont agree with the Jones criticism he's our best and most consistent defender. Hughes will get better but has made a few mistakes and has missed a fair few games. As for the midfield, bring back Slater and Puerta

We have no full backs worth half a piece of ****, so here’s a really radical idea. Why not ****ing well set up without full backs?

Seems like a pretty obvious solution to me.

Norwich are more of a possession team under Thorup than Wagner. They play with their right-back inverting into midfield and all that jazz.

They seem to be still horrible bastards though. Duffy broke a player’s leg against Preston. We should fight fire with fire. We need to knock seven bells of **** out of Sainz. We need to show nous and aggression from minute 1. Don’t let them set the tempo. Puerta has to play. Not the biggest or the strongest but has that aggression. Their fullbacks are probably their weakest point. Left-back is a young kid and the right-back Fisher is as well.

This is a game for the dark arts and gamesmanship. Coyle’s a bit too honest I fear. Drameh might be more inclined to leave one on Sainz. Gelhardt on the right to support the right-back against Sainz as Kamara can’t be trusted.

To coincide with the Movie Thread, maybe...
48.6% think City will win = The Usual Suspects
18.9% think draw = The Searchers
32.4% think Narwych win = The Exorcist

    Stats as at 09:20 Friday.
