A first trip to Leicester as an owner. It’s all a bit full circle here given the only other day I’ve been to Leicester was the day I went to see Rocky before we purchased him. The food best be good.
Hope the easier surface will allow him to do things in his own time. Venetia's looks dangerous as does No Tackle (back below last winning mark which was a CD victory a year ago). Hope you have a good day - I'm sure there will be plenty of Walkers crisps on offer

Should have had that winner - horses for courses and all that. Not sure what to say about Rocky to be honest - I'm not sure he even knows what's required of him? Maybe consider giving him a spin on the a/w flat?
What my friend is trying to tell you is that the decision has been taken to retire Rocky from racing. Prior to todays run he had gone through every test imagineable and everything about him checked out perfectly, he couldnt have been in better shape. His work leading up to todays run was top notch and he schooled beautifully on Monday. As you would have seen though his performance on the track was simply abysmal. He was beaten a long way out for the second run on the trot and looked to hate every minute of it. He is honestly one of the loveliest and most handsome horses I have been involved in and we only have his best interests at heart. He has either fallen totally out of love with racing or there is something that we have not been able to find that is holding him back. Thus the syndicate have taken the view that it is kinder to retire him rather than keep trying and risk harming him. Its a very sad outcome as this time last year we were thinking we had a decent horse to have fun with for a few years to come but for whatever reason it hasnt worked out.
