No support because Kamara was a total fanny when support was needed. His attempt at a block for their 2nd was a joke. He was like that all game long. Odd player as other times he can get stuck in. You just never know what you're going to get with him, but last night he was a total fanny.
Not sure if it's been posted... Burnley manager Scott Parker told BBC Radio Lancashire: "I thought we were outstanding tonight. I thought first half, we were really dominant, carved Hull open. "We moved the ball with real diligence, technical ability and created numerous chances. "Really pleasing that we got an early goal. Overall, I think it is well-documented on the defensive side, we are rock solid. "We have done that consistently over the course of this season and again tonight. "But for large parts of tonight, we were a real dominant team." Hull City manager Ruben Selles told BBC Radio Humberside: "I was disappointed. We came here with a clear idea as we do usually. "The first goal put us a little bit out of the game. We were not able to apply any kind of pressure. "We tried to adjust. The second half was more competitive from us. "[I'm] taking the responsibility because it's my responsibility to set the team."
Did not see the game, nor did I expect us to win. But gotta say I was hoping for a better display than it appears we got. Perhaps even a draw but at the very least something that we could have gone into the Norwich game with some confidence. To be frank I am a somewhat disappointed with our progress under Selles, he is not living up to my expectations. And others are right to point out the improvement in other teams that made a managerial change that City are not seeing even with a supposed good transfer window. The portents are not good given our current form and relegation beckons if we do not start winning. We are already on a slippery slope and lose Saturday we will be hurtling off the precipice that is relegation.
Have to agree. It's better but it was a very very low bar. I stand by my belief that we should have gone for a Robins or a Eustace I'm afraid
I like a lot of what Sellés has done and is doing but at the moment, I think we’ll go down. I’m just not seeing the consistency and run of form that Wednesday under Röhl and QPR under Cifuentes had last season that dragged them out of the ****. We’ll pick up wins away then put in a ‘typical City’ performance at home and come away with **** all. We should’ve beat Stoke. I think having back-to-back win would’ve done their confidence a world of good. I just can’t help notice the ‘woe is me’ body language of the players when we concede a goal. To his credit, Slater actually does try to motivate his teammates when we concede. Coyle just wanders back to position with his head down for the restart.
Before these last two games we were managing ~4 points every 3 games. This was always going to be a sticky patch of fixtures, so shouldn't be read into too much. It's the games post-Sunderland where our fate will be decided.
Yes, I know he was. He gave next to no support to Coyle and on the odd occasion where he was over on the other side, no support to Macca. Look for example at their 2nd goal, notice where Kamara was (on our left) and his fanny attempt at putting a block in. Here's a link even ... https://www.wearehullcity.co.uk/videos/2e4ffbc9-86cd-43f5-a9ef-f70f63c40759 Oh, and maybe stop being a condescending prick for once.
In a discussion about whether Macca should have been given more support by the other players, taking a pop at Kamara (who’s normally the player furthest away from him) was a rather odd thing to do. I can’t help it if you find that condescending.
I find it hard to agree with this, the job Selles was tasked with was far greater than he’s given credit for, it can’t be understated just how poor the culture was under Walter and how much he had to change. He’s done that and kept us in the top half of the form table, include big away wins against tough opposition. Realistically, a couple of poor home performances aside he’s done a great job. We’ve got our easiest run of fixtures at the back end of the season and have games in hand, if the new signings bed in well, we’ll look back at the end of the season and be glad we got him.
Robins has won one game at Stoke and they didn’t even deserve that, people would be calling for his head if he came in and got the same results for us.
First off, it wasn't just about supporting Macca, my op was as much about Kamara being back to fanny mode again. Just look at their 2nd goal. Where was Kamara? Left side, with Macca. It wasn't the only time during the game. -> Man incapable of admitting he made a minor mistake. Episode 324. Absolutely not the case. I'm one of the first who will hold my hands up if I get something wrong. Done it plenty of times on here.. Unlike some stubborn, I'm always right sods. I don't mind critiscism if it's fair; that isn't fair.
Oh **** off Syd. For you, no I don't. Maybe just listen to what Amin and others are trying to tell you.
