Regarding Slot's red card. Totally uncalled for and avoidable. As others say above, no point confronting the ref, it achieves nothing. That said, don't underestimate that the players will be aware of that red, and that Slot go it defending them. There could be a silverlining of a psychological closeness the players might feel as a result.

Refs are a given. Each has their own foibles and will make calls based on that. That's all I'm saying.
