Hang them in the Louvre: football tables as works of art “Magdeburg were top of the 2.Bundesliga on Friday night after 19 games of the season … despite not having won a single home game,” wrote James Plain a couple of weeks ago. “It should have been hung in the Louvre – crowds notwithstanding. But what are the other best examples of tables as works of art?” https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...tables-as-works-of-art?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other
Had a couple of beers in the Bridge Vaults last night before the match. It was a decent pint. We always drink in The Manor on a Saturday match and it’s not open midweek, so this will have to be our midweek boozer.
Never been there and had to look it up - but will have to try it out. About time they regenerated that area please log in to view this image https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cm2mjyj4e4lo
Loads of development going on down there and hopefully Sunniside becomes busy. There’s a good few places down there that will take off with more footfall
https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...atest-cost-cutting-sir-jim-ratcliffe-football What on earth is going on at Man U?
Vaguely football related, but has anyone noticed how the new cycle lane along from Roker to St Peters has completely f*cked up the traffic on a match day? Its ridiculous. They have created a funnel at the St Peters junction, cars not intending to go over the bridge are overtaking people on the wrong side of the road. Head on collision waiting to happen there.
Well played Davis Keillor-Dunn I’d not really heard of the lad but good to see he’s carved out a canny career
Hull's Matazo out for the season with ACL injury - https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/c8x44vkl17qo
And here was me thinking it’s only Sunderland who don’t condition players properly, overplay them and buy sicknotes “The Belgian becomes the third Hull player to suffer an ACL injury this season along with Liam Millar and Mohamed Belloumi, who are not expected to return until July at the earliest. It comes as another blow for head coach Ruben Selles after loanee Louie Barry returned to Aston Villa this week to undergo rehabilitation for a knee injury suffered in the 1-0 win at Sunderland last weekend.”
New rule next season. 8 seconds a keeper has from getting hold of the ball…. So, over the last 10-15 years…. It’s been 6 seconds, 10 seconds, as long as you want seemingly (now), and it will now be 8 seconds, with a corner as the punishment! I reckon they do it fir 3 rounds of games, then **** it off!!
In the light of the incident involving the Milwall goalkeeper and the Bolton player yesterday I have been trying to recall the incident from a few seasons ago when a Millwall goalkeeper knocked out Denis Cirkin with a punch to the head but cannot recall the name of the goalkeeper involved. Can anyone remember?
