I think he would do well in the Championship. Someone posted earlier that he was garbage(?) but I don't agree. Just because a Manu players isn't starting for one of the best teams in Europe doesn't mean he wouldn't be a big hit in our league. We have just taken a number of players from Old Trafford who were not rated good enough to make the grade but who are good enough for us.

A loan would be a no brainer for Macheda; 4 goals from 17 premier league starts is not bad, and not garbage.

Macheda needs first team football to bring him on, he has a lot of ability, some of his goals for Man U ressies are on Youtube and show he has great ability and SAF has been patient with him, like Welbeck, takes a while for these players unless they get first team football, don't forget Cameron Stewart was struggling with Yeovil ( I think) and now look at him

I'm sure he'd prefer him to go to a PL team, as long as it's not someone who may finish near. In the PL he has the chance of helping take points of UTD's rivals which would benefit Man U more. Not to mention Macheda getting top flight experience.

Not sure a PL team would take him, didn't score for Sampdoria in 14 appearances. And the italian league isn't as good as the PL. So hopefully we may be in with a shout

I'm sure they will, remember watching him a few times admiring his link up play and technique. We would have to change our formation to accommodate him though.

Why would we have to change? PL would stretch him too much; the whole idea is for him to get game time (far from certain at a PL club) which would allow him to develop his style, so that SAF could then decide to mould him (as he did Rooney) or off-load him (as he has with many).

I'd like to see us try and sign his strike partner. <ok>

He didn't have a great time at Sampdoria, but those stats don't tell the full story.

He started only three games, the other 11 appearances were sub appearances and were mainly just at the very end of games.

He was played out of position, they were short of wingers and almost all those appearances were out wide.

In the first game he actually started for them, when he also played as a striker(in the Coppa Italia against Udinese), he did score.

I think he could do a brilliant job for us, the biggest problem would be that Newcastle and Wigan tried to loan him in the summer and it's rumoured that Bolton and Everton also wanted him on loan, so I can't see that he'd need to drop to the Championship.
