The emergence of Lewis-Skelly is not just big for Arsenal but for England too. LB has long been a problem position for England and this kid looks the real deal. Hopefully Tuchel bloods him in next month's internationals.

Nwaneri too. His goals per minute, is unreal. 7 goals in 647 minutes; basically 1 goal every 92 minutes. At 17 years old!

I am getting totally fed up with the feining injury to face, to stop the game. That's one thing that VAR could step in for.

Anyone who holds their head has to go off for 3-5 minutes imo. Would soon put a stop to it.

Should be an automatic yellow card for no head contact.

Problem with that is there'll be situations where it's worth a yellow and you can share it around the team. It'll never be worth killing momentum if you have to go down to ten men for a period.

Good old Charly, made sure he was on the scene of that fight. His favourite place.

Thought he looked a bit lost and disinterested when he came on today. Cracking end to the game though. As per, my Liverpool mates immediately on the WhatsApp to me moaning though. They're so graceless.

If only Saints players had half the battling character of Everton. Whether you like them or not, they don’t roll over. Moyes just fits Everton.

He's doing a tremendous job. Shame he didn't want to come to us.

Even Saints fans don’t want to go to St Mary’s.

Also emphasises, at least to me, the importance of a pragmatic manager. Looking at their team and who is actually any good? Pickford and Branthwaite and that’s about it? Moyes and Dyche before him were getting a good enough tune out of poor players (for the level) and keeping them up.

Id much rather have gone down then just be finishing 12th or below every season, but I appreciate I’m in the minority (and especially Everton fans who think going down is the equivalent of not existing anymore), but it does show that if you get a certain type of manager in then you can be “successful”

Mid table mediocrity sounds good to me.

Yeah each to their own, I just don’t see the point. Much rather have something to play for (promotion from the Championship) at the start of a season than “well if we have a really good season we’ll come 10th and if it goes badly we’ll maybe go down”. The main argument is being in the PL and having the chance to do what Forest are doing this year, obviously can’t do that if you are in the Championship.

But yeah Everton does show that you don’t necessarily need a load of good players to stay up if you have a pragmatic manager. Of course the fans will probably bitch and moan (like Everton fans did about Dyche) but that’s just football fans in general.

Havertz put for the rest of the season, leaving Arsenal without a striker. Ridiculous that they didn't sign a striker in January.

Surely we can loan them one of ours. They only sit on the bench at Saints. On second thoughts, just put an Arsenal U18 in the team, much more likely to score.

Only problem I can see with playing for promotion from the Championship is that we might achieve it.

In fairness I think with the amount of money Everton have spent on their stadium this could be a genuine concern! They would be in real financial trouble if they did go down.
