I use to see it all the time, particularly in the unions, it was another reason I always steared clear of them. Right wing are in your face with it, left wing brush it under the carpet, one is harder to prove than the other so less discussed...until **** like this comes out.
My Nana and Grandad were big Labour supporters but they always told me to steer clear of unions and I always have done. They said their behaviour at the time of the miners strikes in the 80’s were unforgivable when people were being badly beaten and made outcasts just for going back to work because they were becoming desperate to feed their families and pay the bills.
And they wonder why millions think all politicians are ****s...the only difference being what colour badge each **** wears.
Same here but never joined the labour party...kinnock to Blair to Brown to the sandwich choker to sir boringham ... party of the working class
I was in UNISON when I worked for the NHS. One of the biggest reasons was that it gave me professional indemnity and legal cover, because I was in a job where I was dealing with people with severe mental health problems and having to deal with complex issues around domestic abuse, drug and alcohol abuse, safeguarding etc. There's no way I would have gone into some of those situations without knowing I had the backing of a union.
Unfortunately the working class keep voting Tory. Then they blame immigrants when everything inevitably turns to ****.
Lol the irony though People who support making 2.3 million Palestinians refugees. But don’t want any more refugees.
You can read what actually happened here. I douyou will though. Far easier to swallow every but of dross you get on your Twatter feed BBC News - PM pledges to close loophole that let Gazans settle in UK https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cpdx0yn6v7lo
Yup, no one has supported making Palestinians refugees. Like no one supported making Ukranians refugees. Like non of us support making the Sudanese refugee's or Somalians. Whether we take refugees is a personal choice, and yours is clear, that is your choice. I'm a bit more wavering, because I think we should always help kids, but that's not to criticise your view.
The government is working to close a loophole which allowed a Palestinian family the right to live in the UK, after they originally applied through a scheme designed for Ukrainians. Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch raised the case during Prime Minister's Questions, saying it was "completely wrong". In response Sir Keir Starmer said he agreed, adding that "it should be Parliament that makes the rules on immigration". The family of six, whose home in Gaza was destroyed by an air strike, applied to join the father's brother in the UK using the Ukraine Family Scheme. The application was refused in May last year, after the Home Office concluded the requirements of the scheme were not met. Labour seems heavy handed on immigrants, atm. Videos of them being chained and put on flights. Rounding them up in their thousands. Now they’re stopping genuine refugees like the people from Gaza from coming over. I believe these are exactly the sort of people we should be opening our doors too. There’s a world of difference between families coming from Gaza who have had their homes flattened and the likes of middle aged men coming from Somalia and Albania on boats with no documentations. ****ing Nazis. Thoughts?
Yeah we thought (me included) that the Labour government would at least behave differently to the last Tory governments. How wrong we were. These guys are equally racist pieces of ****.
Oh indeed. A massive fan of Trump’s plans, but doesn’t want any refugees He’s also a full on climate change denier, despite lining his own pockets from the green industry.
