O9 is the best passing centre half we have at the club and a very competent defender, he will and should start every game until we have someone better at bringing the ball out of defence or we change our style and become more direct. I can't see that happening anytime soon.
Guess it depends on your take on things, I'm on the more optimistic side that we will have learned. Add to that I do believe you can't look backwards, only forward of you really want to achieve your goals. Like I say it's just an impression from reading social media
LoN is a marmite player. some like him and will always like him some are in the middle with him, neihter like or dislike can see the good and bad in him, but appreciates what he has done some just out right hate him for all the good he does do, he is makes too many mistakes at the worst, which he will admit too. But every player makes them. we can be here all night saying how many times Patto has parried the ball into play or pushing it out into danger instead of catching it, there just human for me personally, just wishes he would stop the antics and just focus on playing the game, no shirt pulling, being more switched on, not play a simple pass when a defender is baring down. and IMO if we go up, have him in the squad but not starting.
If Jobe isn’t back I’d honestly be tempted to go with Neil 6, ELF and Aleksic in the middle and Mayenda left. Luton’s midfield is really lightweight we should be all over them in the middle, providing we put the right players in there. Need to bounce back and nothing better than a rocket up the arse and some changes to do that. And before anyone starts with the excuses, Luton have lost 12 of 15 away this season! Nothing less than a win will do. Professional 2-0 win for the lads is my prediction.
Important match tonight. We need to be able to put teams like Luton away if we're serious about promotion. We've lacked that clinical ability to see teams off recently, through a combination of poor finishing and loss of concentration in the final minutes. Leeds are going up,no doubt, but the second automatic place is up for grabs. It seems to me that both Sheff U and Burnley are vulnerable....we need to cash in on that. After next Monday, our fixtures to the end of March don't fill me with too much trepidation.....although I know nothing is a given in this league. I've said it before......this is a team full of talent, but I'm not sure it's a team full of winners. I'm desperately hoping to be proved wrong!
Hopefully Jobe is back. If not, I'd start Aleksic. I'm a bit worried about this one, they're still the profile of team that we struggle against.
Every time I see our team sheet just before the game I think it’s so impressive and can see only a win for us. On paper we look great, a load of talent.
It's easy to get stuck in a bit of a doom loop regarding the team right now. We are very close and it feels like a very decent run of wins and draws are suddenly kicks to the gut. I imagine the exact same conversation is happening with Burnley fans about their home draws. I know which fanbase I'd rather be tbh. We have enough returning fire power to go on a run. At this point in the Keane promotion season we were 7th I think so it's hardly impossible even if that was a different time.
was also this time around then we went on a massive unbeaten run untill we lost to Parkinson's Colchester.... was like a 13 game unbeaten run, think we won 10 of those
