I think so. Still a bit short on fitness (understandably) but getting into some good areas and the goals will help him settle.
Rhys Walsh always impresses me. Can play both flanks and is very unpredictable, can cut inside or get to the byline no matter which flank he's playing on. Lightening quick as well.
RLB wants him in the squad after today and another 90 mins with the 21s. Once he adjusts to the league I think he has the ability to contribute for sure. Seems to be more of a natural 9 too. Good finishing and drops deep well. I’ve heard from somebody that the club is really excited about him too so can only be good signs
Thinking about the trouble we’ve had signing strikers, spending big and getting it wrong is very costly. The way we’re doing it is much more difficult but the rewards are massive. Isidor and Mayenda are looking very good and now there’s Abdullahi starting to emerge.
He’s younger than Hume was when he joined isn’t he? Hopefully after a settling period he can do a similar job of stepping up
He looks all action to me and although the levels between u21 and Championship are massive, I think if he stays fit he will get a goal for the first team before the season is up.
Still a bit slight and needs to improve his decisions but it looks like he is in the right place for that.
Some good football. Browne looks fit. Abdullah moves well and looks a good front man and goal scorer. Was knocked off the ball easy early on but seems a winner. Keeper made some good saves as well.
It's really interesting watching these matches ... ... there's a lot of skill but a lot of good coaching as well.
I wonder if Murty is being considered for the first team to replace Dodds? Although he would deserve it, you'd be worried about who comes in for the u21s.
when these lads are on their game they are real good to watch, there are the odd mistakes which is to be expected but they all look solid to me. AA #2 looks to be getting himself back up to speed, taking his time and avoiding any hard challenges but always ready for the ball and laying some good passes off, i expect browne will need a couple more games but did ok that half, looking forward to murty's chat at the end, always good to listen to him.
A league 1 or 2 club that is big on youth development is going to come in for Murty soon. They should do anyway.
.. Did that 17 year old Northern Ireland fullback we were linked with towards the end of the window end up going any where? I can't remember his name.
