Basically APT1 could be ruled completely invalid any time now. It could be Today or Tomorrow. If APT1 are ruled invalid then the new rules voted for in November will also be invalid.

If though because it's possible the PL win.

Essentially this could be huge and we'll know very soon. Let's hope the panels full verdict ruled the APT1 rules completely invalid.

I suspect the PL knows it's going to lose and that's why it rushed through APT2, because it wanted to simply kick the can down the road.

Anyone wondering why we haven't contracted ourselves to sponsorships should know this is why by now.

The tears from the cartel fans will be absolutely brilliant.

They would have to, but there would be a period where the rules were not in place, and they might not be able to even do that if the entire concept is ruled unlawful.

It's going to be interesting if city are successful, that's for sure.

If APT is ruled unlawful then every action taken by the PL and its member clubs (who voted for said rules) will have acted unlawfully.

    Actions have consequences.

If they get ruled unlawful you can guarantee that the red cartel will start wanting to run for the trees.

They will start suckling on Pérez again.

I just can’t see this happening although I do want it too.

If however NDM is involved which I read he was. He’s the James Bond of the legal world and he will sort this **** out.

I just hope that the PL don’t **** it up for everyone with these ****ty rules.

Just lift the restrictions and allow owners to spend their money with caveats and guarantees that they won’t let the clubs get in debt.

If that’s what FFP is about. Then it’s a simple fix.

Yeah you should be able to invest as much as you want - as long as it is your own cash/sponsors money etc. it doesn't matter (to a degree) where it comes from as long as it is cash in the clubs bank they can spend with no repayment required - and the money is fully traceable to a legal source.

No problem with a "loss limiting" rules to stop people spending money they don't have but to prevent clubs spending money they have in the bank/found down the back of the sofa/whatever is a madness.

It's like being in the club and not being allowed to by more beverages even though you've got the cash or your mate is buying because Chippy's in there and doesn't want to get another round in (or so I hear). <cheers>

To be fair to G4rd, I think the words "doesn't want to" were equally important to the context of his post.

The PL is not fit for purpose, but then neither are FIFA or UEFA. Unfortunately, I think the net result will be breakaway leagues in the end.

Absolutely, once the law has broken down the cartels defences, they will use that as leverage towards joining a super league.

The court of public opinion will conveniently ignore the fact the rules are unlawful, drop their arses at the thought of Newcastle ruining their little party and say enoughs enough we must join a super league.

Yes there will almost certainly be a "breakaway" League from some of the morons running the red cartel. It will die a quick and funny death, as long as the FA, PL, UEFA and FIFA stand their ground - you can go and compete in that comp but you aren't' competing here if you are. Then those clubs can reapply for their licenses starting from Step 6 when it fails. The fans of those clubs will go to their local teams once they are priced out of matches or games are being played in Singapore, Rhyiad and Miami etc.

Bored of saying it but if the 86 remaining EFL clubs promoted an extra 3 clubs from the Istman leagues into the conference divisions and promoted teams up the divisions with no relegations for a season to fill the holes left - those leaving wouldn't be missed at all. Man U and Spurs are bottom half fodder anyway now a days - so really what are we losing - 2 clubs who cheated and bought success in City and Chelsea and then Arsenal who've not won anything in a decade and Liverpool who are hitting their stride again after 30 years in the wilderness. Liverpool would be the only real miss in terms and that's mainly in terms of the atmosphere to be honest. Give me Birmingham, Charlton, Wigan, Bolton, Reading, Derby (all league one clubs) back in the EPL ahead of those who don't want to be here.
