Well i got a notification that my comment from the first page of this thread was liked and immediately saw that Commachio started the thread and Burley then commented. Where the hell have 7 years gone... Anyway, carry on and don't mind me I'm just being an old bastard about now.
It catches me out as well , so you are not alone. And for what its worth I still wear clothes I bought over 60 years ago.
I’ve always liked my clothes, trainers and jackets are my weakness, our lass goes off it when a delivery lands! Suppose I’m classed as a casual dresser, yesterday’s funday Sunday outfit was a pair of adidas berlins, Armani jeans, stone island t-shirt and jacket. I’m 50 now and when I see some of the parents on the school runs I think should I tone it down but the daughter thinks I’m a cool dresser and that will do for me. My grandad was the smartest bloke I ever seen, you could go to my nanna & grandads at anytime of the day or night and he was dressed in a shirt and tie.
1960s, out of bravado me and my mate went in the Ship Inn, High Street Sunderland. Some of the oldies will remember this place and the what kind of clientele frequented the establishment. In walked an American sailor and this was the first time I had seen anyone wearing a Levis jacket and jeans. I fell in love with Levis that day and have wore their jeans ever since. Some say blokes over 60 should not be wearing jeans, forgetting it was these same blokes who made jeans a fashion accessory. Phew, got that off my chest.
If grown men can wear tracksuit bottoms to the pub or shopping (I wear them only in the house for comfort) all opinions about dressing your age go out of the window...in my opinion anyway
Levi's 501 jeans for me . Used to buy Lee jeans when I was younger. A skinhead mate of mine back in the day wore cherry red 18 hole doc martins and Lee jeans so tight he could hardly bend his legs A few years back a mate had a holiday home in USA and used to fetch me some 501's back cheap as chips.

I’m stocking up and have ordered these 3 so far but want to try another couple. I use this website to try before I buy as there’s some really expensive stuff. Excited to try the Baccarat Rouge, I’ve heard good things about it and the reviews on it speak for themselves. You can get luxury fragrances for special occasions and if you order a few different ones they’ll last you a fair amount of time.
Shorts every day, sometimes a hoodie and sometimes a sports shirt, even when I am not teaching PE I still wear shorts. I'm 57, I don't care.
When I was 18-30 I used to really care what people thought but would really pretend that I didn’t … … now I really don’t care and dress entirely for my benefit. There's no limit to the daftness of a hat that would stop me putting it on if my head’s cold
Whatever I wear it's drenched in ****ing swear in this god awful heat. ****ing grass and bushfires spreading all over the shop at the moment.
Much the same now However there is a article on tv now on how to get rid of old unwanted clothes Yes you’ve guessed I got rid of old unwanted cloths 18 moths ago just before we moved into the bungalow now I’m searching all over looking for these clothes My wife reminded me you’ve thrown them away Bugger I wanted them
Haha, yeah was using that one about 15 years ago mate. Really nice, I just like to keep changing them up every so often.
My favourite was Van Gils but everywhere stopped selling it, the only place I could find it was in the airports.
