I don't think either could claim we didn't spend...if they didn't know about the covenant I would be surprised because they should have done their own due diligence and it would have been ridiculous to not reveal it to them.
It's something I've seen happen at Newcastle, so you'll need to at some point get behind a manager, and get some kind of unity in the fanbase. If you continue to be disruptive, chase players, and managers out the club because they're not providing you with what you want, then you'll continue to slide away. Don't fall for the old 'it can't get any worse' mental gymnastic, because it can.
First season yes...second season he imploded (for very understandable reasons). However Conte was known for exploding after a couple of seasons so was never a good long term choice. And in the minis box is that he insisted on Richarlison
According to you, the 'plot' was to improve slightly on what Poch achieved by winning trophies. You literally just said that didn't need to be the title itself. So we sacked him days before he had the chance to do what we'd originally employed him to do? To be clear, I didn't want him to be appointed in the first place, but by your own (arbitrary) standards, what we did made absolutely no sense, especially given the fact that we didn't have a replacement lined up. Just another example of Levy's utter incompetence, but you'll keep moving the goal posts so that he is never to blame.
He had lost the plot the previous Xmas. The reason he was sacked when he was is because we announced being part of the ESL on the sunday and there was a massive backlash from our fans so they sacked him the following day to distract and get fans back on side.
And then played him almost exclusively on the right wing, rather than rotating him with Son and Kane. Absolutely butchered any chance he had of succeeding.
If it helps, I can honestly say that my club had a similar situation with an injury list last season, and once that cleared up the issues were gone. Personally, I'd stick with Ange and stop being the club that keeps ripping everything up every time you hit an obstacle.
I agree with your sentiments but in my opinion, Ange isn’t the man to stick with. He simply cannot manage a squad of players. Reasons have been outlined elsewhere!
Not many have adopted the style of telling people their motive in advance, but I will use this against you all either way now, that's the plan.
Problem is, Ange is one of those obstacles. There was a tweet the other night on Twitter, it was short but hit the nail on the head and was along the lines of: Fans have become so blinded by their hate for Levy they've perhaps forgotten how bad Postecoglou is. And it's bang on the money. Hating Levy so much you want him to stick with a bad manager is massively counterproductive. I briefly swayed with it myself then realised the only people that suffer is us fans, not Levy. We've got a **** hierarchy who are massively out of touch with the modern game, they're not going anywhere any time soon though, we don't need a **** manager on top of it because all it gets is what we're seeing.
Deep down what everyone is hoping for when they seek to chase out an ownership is a billionaire owner to buy their club, and turn them into the next galacticos. Unfortunately not all of us will be successful in that objective, and they will probably end up no further forward, or even worse off. Things will get better, and you've just got to support the club.
