My point is that I have no idea what ange will turn out to be like ... the results I posted did not suggest Burkinshaw was going to make that fantastic team. He had Hoddle and Perryman and Jennings (who he massively screwed up with) in 1976/77. He had Hoddle, Perryman, Ossie, Villa, Miller, Falco, Galvin, Houghton and Gibson in 78-80. In 1980/81 he had all of the above and Added Roberts, Archibald and Crooks and we only came 10th in the league and almost lost the cup final but for a very lucky OG. That's my gripe with Levy constantly choosing managers but no giving them time. For all I know you could be right but nothing from 76-80 suggested Burkinshaw would become so successful and produce such good footballing teams
I agree constantly changing managers is counter productive and you end up with disjointed squad with 4/5 ex managers players in it (see Man Utd) but it’s whether Levy thinks Ange will come good or not. Spurs don’t qualify for Europe and usually that means the manager pays with his job regardless of circumstances.
Difficult to see a positive outcome and worried about the pressure being applied to the likes of Gray, Bergvall and Moore. Need the supposed 'A-Listers' to turn up.
This could be more embarrassing than Thursday. I’m genuinely worried this could be an absolute thrashing.
I said that weeks ago and been told I’ve been too harsh on him. He’s just not ready to play anywhere near this level.
I agree, he needs a loan somewhere to build up strength and confidence. Ridiculous to throw him straight into facing premier league teams so soon.
