Just wanted to agree with all of the above. Always read 606 but rarely commented- so many numpties just taking things too far. I'd echo SB3's comments- friendly banter is to be encouraged but no WUM's please!
Another transferee, never liked 606 and got totally fed up with the deteriorating style of posting on the Echo site.
Totally agree I think we need to stick together on this and if necessary help the mod out if someone steps too far out of line. We have only had one instant since I have been on here and to a man/women every poster that was on the Saints board that night helped the mod to calm the gentleman down. So much so he apologised for his gutter language so no drastic action was needed. That is how it should be, we just need to stick together.
agree with what has been said. Much more intelligent comment and decent banter on here, and even hardened WUMs like SB3 have really turned over a new leaf for a fresh start. Long may it continue, and heres to a physical reunion next year in the Championship for ALL south coast teams!

Used to use 606 quite a bit but it has gone downhill lately with all the WUMs scaring off decent posters. Long live not606.
Hey just spotted your post.... Welcome Duckhunter......We look forward to your contribution. As you can see to date we have thankfully had no Wum problems just good humoured banter and debate and that includes some surprising names from the Pompey boards who have agreed along with some of the more shall we say "outlandish" Saints fans that we do not want this board to go the way of the other BBC 606 board. So we all strive to keep these boards free from the few.......You do in addition have an ignore button as well as a Swear free button. It does not however work on the Chat box.
As a newbie here, having just had a quick scoot round the rest of the site, it seems some fans have adopted not606 big time (Liverpool, Man U, Hull are clubs that seem to have a big following already), but others have little or no support at all. Good to see that Saints is by far the best-supported so far of the League 1 clubs. As the original 606 is a) WUM-infested and b) closing down soon, reckon we should be spreading the word as far and wide as possible. I'll be spreading the word from now on - let's hope the standard of posting here stays as high as it's been so far...
Welcome 40000thheadman to the Forum.... We look forward to your contribution. We have tried to keep the site as free as possible from the less savory. With some of the hardened Wummers agreements have been reached to try and keep this site from down grading itself to the old 606 site standards. We are self moderated by a Saints fan, for the Saints board and the mod is kingslandSFC. Up till now we have only had one instant of bad taste to my knowledge. To a person who was posting that evening we helped the mod get the situation under control and to his credit he apologised for his gutter language and outburst. So no harm was done but it did emphasize what can be achieved by sticking together. So it is up to us to try and keep the site clear of unwanted individuals. you have of course additional implements to aid you. Scroll down and on the left you will see an anti swear box. You also have the choice to ignore certain individuals who perhaps are a bit upsetting to you. (ignore list button) so as you can see we can help each other over come the less inviting individuals that can destroy a site by their petty mindedness.
It is a bit disappointing that there are some criticising this site on the old 606, it would be better if they come over and discussed their points of view on here and if they are valid points I have no doubt their ideas can be included.
Fair play, this is a great site. Easy to register and simple to use. Looking forward to good banter and three points tomorrow of course!

Seems as though most of the good guys and lasses have come around to this site, some of the bad guys have tried, but they have been sussed out fairly quickly and are either ignored or evicted or have just realised that their nonsense wasn't having the desired effect. Well done to the Mods and all of the sensible posters on here, have a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Successful New Year. COYRs.
