Hoping for a clean sheet, and a few goals (though 10 might be asking too much ) for us to close the goal difference gap on Burnley a bit. HTL
https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/spo.../heard-what-sunderland-insiders-said-30937893 … Le Fee could end up being an even bigger hit than Amad, and former Sunderland striker Michael Bridges says that club insiders can't believe how good the Frenchman is. Bridges was working as a Sky Sports pundit during the Middlesbrough game, and shared what he had heard from inside the Black Cats’ camp. Before kick-off, Bridges said: “I've been speaking to the staff at the football club - they've been suitably impressed and he’s only been here a short time. “They're basically saying it looks like he's streets ahead of the other players and on a different wavelength. Amad was mentioned, he was at Sunderland a few years ago, now at Man United. He just had something special, and that's what he [Le Fee] has brought.” And Bridges was again effusive in his praise for Le Fee after the match during his post-game summary. It wasn't just Amad he compared the playmaker to, but another Sunderland old boy, Chris Waddle. “We talked about him before the game, like I said, a lot of the staff and the players were so excited about what he had shown in his training sessions, and I think we witnessed tonight what he is capable of doing," added Bridges. "He’s won the man of the match award, on his birthday, and there’s a lot more to come. “Regis Le Bris, once again, has signed an absolute diamond there for Sunderland. It’s players like that that excite me. When they get the ball, all eyes are on them. You get excited, they get you off your seat. I was a big fan of Chris Waddle back in the day, he excited me, and this lad tonight, wow.”
So looking forward to this today. As someone said we just seemed to click against Boro and hopefully we show our class today. Get a decent win and put pressure on the teams above. We wont crack. I expect Burnley and Sheff U to though.
Todays a good day, been after the 97 gold away shirt for years managed to pick one up for £60, 6-0 to the lads today haaaaaaaaway
Anyone else feel the next 2 games are pivotal in our season? We win both and we go to Leeds with so much confidence. Not saying dropping points against Watford or Luton will be decisive for our promotion push...but to win both.....for me...puts us in the box seat
100% mate. Im uncharacteristically nervy this morning, could be that it’s just cos we right in the business part of the season now. I feel 4 points next 2 games will be par, but 6 is box seat. I absolutely believe we can get something at Leeds, I think if we win next 2 the pressure shifts to them. If we win next 2 when get a result there, then they start to think ‘not again’ I don’t see Pompey doing us a favour today but Burnley don’t play so this is our game in hand in them. Pulling level with them would be statement number 1.
Well, so as not to be a curse i will check the score after the match again. I'm going for a 3-1 home win (Isidor, Jobe and O'Nein)
There’s a thread on RTG saying it’s nailed on that we’ll lose because Watford are on a bad run … … ignoring the fact Boro were on a bad run before they played us. Now they’re on a worse one
I have to confess to turning the torch on meself for added effect but still amazed the cat found it and dropped it off by me
They’ve lost 9 in 15 away this season like have to pick up 3 points here after dropping points against Plymouth. Our home record is what could see us over the line this season it’s been incredible, win this and against Luton we’d have only taken 3 less points at home than Leeds have.
