The first one was The Merseyside. Talking of body parts, a few mentioned in this song. How she got away with that in 1930 is a mystery. And she had plenty like that. Jagger never credited her as the inspiration for make a dead girl cum.
First recorded by The McCoys with The Merseys (who became the Mersey Beats then the Merseybeats) recording a cover the following year. Never heard of the Merseysides ?
The Merseys were two members of the Merseybeats and recorded Sorrow after the Merseybeats split up. The Merseybeats should have been the first band I saw at Brid Spa around March/April 1964 but I had a bad problem with tonsillitis so my first one was The Swinging Blue Jeans. Sorrow was Bowies 1 st number 1 in Australia.
I have no idea how to post a link on here but IMELDA MAY - INSIDE OUT mentions 15 body parts and as far as I am aware is the only song that includes the word ENTRAILS. Brilliant live if you get the chance.
Dire Straits - Skateaway (Official Music Video) I seen a girl on a one way corridor Stealing down a wrong way street For all the world like an urban toreador She had wheels on, on her feet…
Dire Straits - Tunnel Of Love (Official Music Video) In the screaming ring of faces I put my hand upon the lever I had the one-arm bandit fever There was an arrow through my heart and my soul She put her hand in my pocket
