Not so sure that’s true or it certainly wasn’t
Porto did not chase him out, Chelsea first time, did not chase him out
    Enjoyed good decent runs there
I can’t say that he did a bad job at Utd - maybe the type of club that is attracted to Jose is one that maybe Jose should not goto ?

I get what you are saying but I don’t think Pep has a record of leaving teams in a better shape - he is borderline on 50%. He persisted at the 2 clubs with an open and unlimited chequebook.

Barca can be argued he left them in better shape
    Bayern he definitely did not

    City he has not left

Klopp has done something amazing if this team go on to win the league and has set a new standard - will be interesting if anyone else attempts it.

that said such is my pessimism and looking at the fixtures remaining I do make Arsenal favourites - we need some big performances to win the league.

    Nostradumus time:

Per stats and analytics trhead we must complete this block of 4 with a win v everton. 3 points is a must

block 7 contains 2 hard games and two must win home games v lower half. 8 points minimum required. 10 would be excellent.

Block 8 has two harder away games (fulham and villa) and 2 home games we need to win (everton and west ham) 8 points minimum needed, 10 would be great.

Block 9 has the really really tough period. Start with beating leicester in a relgation match, 3 top 6 games in a row then but 2 at home (spurs and arsenal) this is do or die block. 6 points is possible here, 8 would be good result

Last two games then are brighton away who will have nothing on the game and palace at home. 6 points needed.

with 10 games to go that would put my prredicted ragne at 67 to 69 points.

With 5 games to go my range would be 78 to 82

At the end My prediction would be 87 to 93

this is of course is premised by not loising a single game from now until the end of season. a safe easy -3 just to cover 1 shock brings this to 84 to 90.

    what about arsenal
Hard games: forest away, cheslea home, LFC away, newcastle home, man utd away (barely)
the odd games you'd expect a win but might trip up: fulham home, bournemouth home
easy games: Leicester away, west ham home, everton away, brentford home, palace home, ipswich away, southampton away

I'd sort of expect them to win all those banana skin and easy games. thats 9 wins. 5 possible draws. thats 32 points. lets call that 32 to 36 points as a tally. that maybe they get (maybe not)

    50 + 32 = 82 points.
    50 + 36 = 86 points.

So right now LFC have the lead but need to force it home, theres a scenarior where arsenal can win this league wihtout beating LFC but it requires favours from other clubs. IMO the title will be nowhere near decided despite the gap unitl after the LFC v arsenal game and LFC must not lose it.

we need 30 points from 14 games so have maybe 4 spare games in the tank.

We play city away, newcastle at home, villa away, fulham away, spurs at home, Cheslea away, Arsenal at home. thats 7 games so we can't afford to burn all 7 as arsenal fixutres are that much easier. (a draw is still bruning the game to some extent)

IMO the arsenal game is the only one thats must not lose. if we draw that imo that fine as its denying arsenal the chance. We need to win at least two of the above games and that is possible if we deliver.

I'm sure there will be a lot of twists and truns as is normal but i simply don't expect an arsenal funk as those games are just too bloody easy.

Everton away must be a win. then that next block is key to at least match arsenal as spurs, cheslea, arsenal all in a row is massive pressure and massive issue for our run in.

If the situation was reversed, would you have us as favourites?

I'm unsure on this. I'd say his tenure at most clubs is about average for managers these days 2 to 3 years or so then move on.

There's not a great deal of managers that last longer than 3 years in a job.

I don't mind Jose to be honest. He's a product of modern football. He knows he's only loved while doing well, players are mercenary and fans are fickle.

If we were 9 points behind but with a fairly good run in I'd have a small hope but would be thinking we have to win that game against arsenal or bust.

That run of 3 top 6 games in a row in the last 5 games is a killer for anyone.

    2 are at home though.

Jeez. That's not even close. Maguire is a good two foot offside for that goal. Ridiculous.

See. You've just directly jinxed it there.

What else could possibly explain man utd actually winning a game at home.

I saw an image of this offside.

The linesman is in online with the leicester line and can see right across.

Maguire is fully 2 yards offside.

    There is no excuse.

From a stand still due to it being a free kick, they’re never once onside and he is watching them all for probably 10 seconds - horrendous on Leicester

Man city new cm injured. Was landed on like jota was in a nothing challenge so who knows what it is.

Orient winning for a few minutes as well so bound to be about 6-1 by the end.

I think the new cm playing as rodri position but going off is noteworthy.
